We stumbled upon these gardens when hunting for the Wild Dolphins around Aberdeen, and its fair to say we we surprised and impressed by their beauty. Hidden away in a broadly residential part of town, these gardens are an oasis of beauty and quietness. They are nktbhuge in size, but definitely worth visiting if you are in the area.
It's a lovely garden, must be glorious in the spring with all the flowers and plants, but it takes 8min to walk all around it... Pity as it's really nice
This beautiful public garden with its stream running through the middle is a pleasure to walk round, the gardens are well kept and a credit to the council.
Johnstone Gardens aren't easy to find but are definitely worth a visit. A tranquil, magical and peaceful place all year round with an abundant display of flowers, herbs, trees and waterplants!
I have visited Johnstone Gardens a few times, once when collecting the Wild Dolphins around Aberdeen, and another time finding a geocache. Both times I have been amazing at this stunning little garden hidden in the centre of Aberdeen. The garden looks as if it is out of a movie or from a foreign country. Is it so nice and a lovely area for a small work. Can be a romantic occasion for a couple.
These gardens are so tranquil, with ponds and ducks, great place to go to chill out, or take the kids to feed the ducks. Not spoiled and very peaceful. Real hidden gem
the gardens are a treat of quiet and tranquility in the heart of Aberdeen. Unfortunately the ponds have been overwhelmed with mud and silt from the building of a huge housing estate close by but steps are being taken to ensure that it does not happen again and the last time I was there the ducks had returned as the ponds were a lot cleaner. Do not let this put you off a visit. the plants the ponds and the waterfalls are quite good and there is plenty of seats to have a rest on. A short walk to the Gordon Highlanders museum will get you a beverage or more
Beautiful gardens tucked into a quiet corner in the west end of Aberdeen. Well worth visiting! Although it is surrounded by houses, it is a quiet spot to enjoy the myriad of flowers - perfumes and colours. It is easily accessible with a car park close by.
A delightful small park. These gardens are famed for Acers and Rhoddies. A nice place all year but May/June being the absolute best time. A small play area at the back for young children. Ducks and moor hen are usually to be seen and like to be fed. Brides come here in Summer for photos.
Great little park with birds to feed and a small park for the kids. WOrth a visit at any time of the year.
I am a garden nut and so I just love all the gardens around here. A lovely place to be buried ! But better still a place to eat your sandwiches whilst a live
Aberdeen is blessed with an assortment of lovely gardens - more than most cities and some one takes great pride in looking after them - we just need loo upgrades
We often visit here for a short stroll either at lunchtime or in the evening. This is a popular park with the staff from the companies nearby. Would definitely recommend a visit here.
I can't believe I have never been here before - beautiful little park, definitely worth a visit on a summers day :)
It was a beautiful landscaped garden with plenty of nice spots to sit. My son was a bit disappointed because he was expecting more space for ball games, of which there is not too much.
