Sorry for the late review , I arranged for my fiancee a horse ride 2 hours in October 10th 2014, the staff were real helpful on booking weeks before and on the day, she enjoyed it so much on Lewis and said the route was spectacular. The staff made sure she was well looked after and carried out all safety and procedures correctly and in a very relaxed manner. Lovely guide en route lovely horse in Lewis will be back and great value for money. Patsy really enjoyed herself and says hi

Strange why you didn't speak to us at the time about your welfare concerns but waited to go public on Tripadvisor a whole month after your visit? Your review is ridicules and hurtful at best and everyone reading the review will be suspecting that this has been written by a competitor trying to gain commercial advantage or similar. We have never had an underweight horse or pony at Argyll Adventure. You visited in October and our season starts in April. When you visited our horses are as fit as they ever get in the year. Unlike your fat home pony that only has a hour or so’s work each week, our horses are in regular work and pretty fit by the end of the season. Fit is good, fat is bad. We still don't have any horses that you can see a rib on as you would expect to see on a race or regular competition horse. We have a total of six unannounced inspections through the season by different independent regulatory bodies where the condition of the horses is checked and one of which is a qualified equine vet. Argyll Adventure is inspected more times than a nuclear power station which is why the start of your review is totally ridicules and malicious. Officially all of our working horses fat score on the higher side of normal and we would dearly like to have spoken to you when here and we could have taken some time to show you how to fat score a horse and possibly convinced you to seek professional advise on the condition of your own horses which are clearly obese, a condition all to common in horses with owners like yourself that don't know any better. If you want to contact us by email or phone we would be happy to provide you with horse fat scoring sheet and instructions on its use because the horse always comes first at Argyll Adventure. All of our staff have left school, some have also completed equine degree courses. It is the younger staff that normally take the children on lead rein rides. It is one of the first tasks that new staff members learn on joining Argyll Adventure but everyone that takes a lead rein ride has been well trained and is officially qualified to do so. Currently 50% of our staff are over 40 years of age and 50% under 27 years. Clearly the younger members of staff report to the older as is the case with most organisations. The two senior instructors have over 40 years equine experience between them and they are ultimately responsible for the animals welfare. On investigation our records show both of the children had a lovely lead rein ride, they returned in good spirits, there was no incident or injuries, the younger members of our staff did the job they had been trained to do and they did it well. If you had asked at the time of booking for an older instructor it could have been arranged but we have never had anyone complain that their lead rein instructor “did not look old enough”. You paid £30 for two pony rides, which were executed perfectly by qualified staff albeit with young complexions that receive excellent training from one of the UK’s premiere equine training establishments and this equates to making money is a priority not recommended. Is this really a useful review or just someone hiding behind a pseudonym with an axe to grind?

Went here to start my 30th birthday celebrations, highly recommended. The staff were friendly, and helpful. The paintball site is challenging and well maintained. Brilliant fun, will be back again, cheers

Lovely 2 hour trek along the loch and up into the hills with Argyll Adventures yesterday - we were 4, 2 experienced and 2 novices; the horses were fairly steady which was a bit boring for the better riders but nice for us beginners but the views were great and we saw deer in the hills. Also tried crossbow shooting which was fun.

Beautiful location with friendly and professional staff who inspire confidence. This establishment is well deserving of its numerous BHS awards. I felt confident that not only was i fortunate to be enjoying a fabulous riding experience but that I could do so on a much loved and well cared for pony. Don't miss out if you are visiting the area. It is a fabulous place run by lovely people.

On several occasions I have taken groups of between 10 and 40 young people aged 11 to 25 to Argyll Adventure and am never disappointed. There is always something for everyone and their flexibility means the young people leave happy wither it's a first visit or second or third.

Just spent an afternoon at Argyll adventure. Kids played in the laser quest area that was quite small but they enjoyed it anyway, climbed the climbing wall and loved the paint balling range. The adults however had a great time at the paintball range and the crossbow range. A great place to visit, a little pricey but the staff are friendly and accommodating.

Great range of facilities - very friendly. Will be going back a couple of times before we leave Inveraray on Saturday

A group of 7 of us booked a paintball session and it was loads of fun! The terrain and scenarios were pretty realistic, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Subsequently went for a 1-hour horse ride, and the scenery was great. Overall, a great place to visit for an adevnture/activity day out with kids!

I went out on an 2 hour fast ride led by Patrick who was really relaxed and chatty. The route was excellent and the views were stunning. I was riding Clyde who didn't look up to much however he totally surprised me! The pace of the ride was really fast and we even let the horses cool off in Loch Fyne on the way back. The stables are some of the cleanest I've seen and I everyone was really friendly. I'd love to go back and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

My 13 year old daughter loved her two hour fast ride with Patrick and Chloe from Argyll Adventures. The ponies were well behaved and responsive, the ride lived up to its name. The views and scenery were really good.

Just returned from Inverary and took my kids to Argyll Adventure. My 9 year old daughter loved the horse riding and my four year old did the paintball target shooting. Following this they both did the trampoline bunjy which they thought was brilliant. They both loved the experience although it was a little costly. This didn't detract from the kids enjoyment of the attraction and I would thoroughly recommend Argyllshire Adventure to parents and kids alike
