Quaint building, nice displays, plenty of folders and information on hand. Some small keepsakes for sale. Well tended garden.
The Centre was very informative gave you a great view of Rothesay then and now. It also had a great gift shop which had a lot of local talent displayed.
An excellent display of history and attractions. A lot of interaction and great stuff for kids. The great thing it is free!
very interesting info about the isle where to visit and a lot of local knowledge about what it was like in years gone by,videos to play regarding natural habitats for seals, birds etc lots of photos and a memorial to lena zavoroni plenty of seating to watch the videos toilets and refreshments available,an absolute must for all you need to know
Had lots of info on what do do and see and also on the bus services ( but we did not use). I asked about walks and they were very helpful and friendly
Excellent visitor centre, staff were very helpful and very freindly, good video show aswell.told you all you needed to know
Much more than a regular tourist info place - the exhibits of local history have such a brilliant story to tell about Bute. Staff are so helpful with everything from local knowledge to booking tickets and places to go. Make this your first stop when you get off the ferry!
Liked - Historical photos of bygone days in Rothesay. Discounted tickets for seniors on open top bus trip to various parts of the island.Disliked - Nothing to dislike.
They responded to my complaint very quickly, about an establishment on the island. That is a good Information Centre.
Thank you to the staff here for being so helpful in sorting out and suggesting various visits to make.
This place tells the history of bute and how it used to be a popular Victorian holiday resort. It also sells souvenirs and books about the place. It is surrounded by beautiful gardens and is central
clear advice happy to help staff nothing too much trouble old time style winter gardens something for everyone
Fabulous Information Centre and extremely helpful staff. Also great range of gifts and souvenirs. Centrally located and easy to find.
A very useful information centre, gift shop and cinema inside the old Pavilion! Has lots of interesting information about Rothesay and Bute with interactive exhibits. We noticed on our second visit the pets welcome sign on the door and after asking were told our wee dog was more than welcome to come inside. There are a few tables and a coffee machine downstairs which we used when it rained (as you can imagine your choices are limited when you have a canine companion). The gift shop was well stocked with lots of lovely souvenirs. There is also a cinema which we didn't use - it only shows one film every few weeks but it's always an option for a rainy day in Bute!
Me and my family stayed in the glamping pods in the roseland holiday park. We went into the information centre, the girl was very helpfull. The holiday park we stayed in was lovely excellent view from our glamping pod.
