We are regular visitors to the lake. Lovely walk to the dam and around the entire lake which is about 9'miles. Stop off at Pulhams mill for lovely tea and cake on the way back towards Brompton Regis.

We visited yesterday, there were very few people around. We decided to do the long walk around the lake (9 miles) we did go wrong a few times so a few more signposts would be beneficial. Very pretty place, very autumnal with fallen leaves. There are signs around the boat house saying about dogs being on leads and not allowed in the water but this is not reinforced anywhere else. One of the nicest walks we've done, we'll be back.

We visited the Lake out of season, so was very quiet, we walked the dogs around the Lake which was tranquil and enjoyable, we took a picnic to enjoy on scattered benches around the grounds.

Was Taken Here By My Partner. Had A Picnic In Front Of The Lake. Beautiful Place! Felt Like I Was In Another Country. Small Walk From The Dam. Lovely Place To Visit.

We went with our 4 kids and in the middle of a lot of dreary weather we managed a pretty good day. Took out bikes in the morning and then went paddle boarding in the afternoon. Staff were fine, took a while to get stuff sorted out but perfectly pleasant. A find.

We eventually found the lake, a few more signposts would have been helpful! We started our visit with an early lunch in the cafe. We both had jacket potato with cheese and bacon, it was delicious, good value for money. Then we set out with our cameras for a stroll out to the dam and back. Lovely walk, lots going on on the lake.We also wanted to find some (or at least one) of the many geo caches there but couldn't get a phone signal to lead us to them so we just enjoyed snapping the scenery instead.

We are regular visitors to Wimbleball. We always stop for lunch or coffee at the tea and gift shop. The food is good for the money. It is not gourmet by any standards but it is just what you want after a long walk. The staff and facilities are good and the setting could not be better. Activities galore and even an area to walk the dog. Why go miles and miles for a family day out when Alex and his team provide such a great opportunity right on the doorstep.

A cheeky little 9 miles around the lakes up to the dam and back again, crossing land, through woods and over the dam. The geese were in lake at the time, and butterflies were in abundance. A great walk through a range of terrains, all made better by a cold drink and slice of coffee and walnut cake at the end. Thank you

Highly recommended lovely spot with lots of accessible and signposted country and lakeside walks, picnic areas, adventure playground and a decent cafe. Good for the kids to let steam off, for a decent walk and picnic, for birdwatching or just to drop into en route for Exmoor or Taunton. It is evidently well-used by locals for biking and walking. Does a good line in tame finches who like to share your sandwiches.Parking is chargeable and prices are pitched at the medium-long stay visitor which might deter the 'call in for a coffee' option. Rough paths could be a problem for wheelchair users so a loss of a 'star' for that, unfortunately..

I rated this place average, because being disabled, I can't enjoy it to it's full extent (but still have to pay full parking) However, with parking you do get £1 off a cuppa in the cafe! The place advertises itself as peaceful - and indeed we did find some peaceful spots, once we got out of earshot of yelling boat users on the lake! It looks great for bikes, there are lots of marked paths with difficulty levels. Brilliant for dogs too, shame they have to be kept on leads, but most people ignored this anyway! A distinct lack of poo bins however. Some great places for photos, picnic, and general walks.

This lovely area is set in the rural hills of Somerset and is really one of the resevoirs for the area but appears as a huge lake.It is surrounded by walks short and long. I've done several and all good. The lake itself hosts lots of waterfowl, sometimes quite unusual ones and many that nest here. The surrounding trees and hills are also full of wildlife. There were people fishing there..There is a cafe at one of the car parks which has light meals and delicious locally made icecream. There is a gift shop too.The paths are well trodden, wider than when I went a few years ago and I see they offer cycling routes and some for the disabled. There are also lots of active things to do there.Parking is charged, not sure if the cafe would be open in winter.

Um lindo parque, muito calmo e agradável, onde podemos observar crianças bem pequenas tendo aulas de caiaque.
