We really enjoyed the Yew Tree avenue - we visited it as part of a lunch plan - recommended by the lady who owns Piper House nearby where we were staying - we have lunch at the olive branch and walked here before hand - the children really enjoyed spotting the shapes, the windmill was a big hit! Def wrth a trip if you are in the area, but I am not sure I would drive miles to go and see it.

At the time of our visit (post-meal at the Olive Branch) the trees needed clipping so few were shaped. It could be lovely but it must be a mammoth task shaping all the trees.

Very strange and rather creepy but a one off...definitely worth seeing! A really good place to walk a dog

The avenue is much as the name implies - a 800m long avenue of clipped yew trees in unusual shapes, leading down to parkland in front of Clipsham Hall. The avenue is surrounded by Forestry Commission planting with further walks, with a good sized car park (empty bar one car on our July visit). The trees could do with clipping and many are looking a bit unkempt, but this is still a lovely spot with a touch of magic about it. You could walk there from Clipsham if staying there but wouldn't recommend it - you'd have to walk a bit over a mile along a fairly fast and busy country road with no pavement.

If you are passing worth a quick stop (5-10 mins max) but don't bother travelling to see it. It's a few clipped yew hedges in a line!

Interesting place to visit especially after a big breakfast at the Olive Branch. Gentle thirty minute walk to see the yew trees in a lovely setting and debate what each is supposed to be!

On a sunny day was a pleasant area for a walk. Unfortunately the trees were overgrown and rather unkept. To see the trees themselves was rather disappointing.

Lovely walk through the Topiary of 150 Yew trees just up the road from the Olive Branch pub in Clipsham , Rutland. A rare cost free thing to do and with some free parking available.
