A real place of beauty to be explored over and over again. There are loads and loads of things to do and trails to follow. The visitors centre is a must see.
Came here with my sister and two nephews, we came through the Christmas period and enjoyed visiting Santa & buying Christmas trees. The area itself is very well maintained & the walking routes are easily accessible! Would recommend (there is also a go ape)
Not much to say, other than it's a great place to take the kids! Plenty of fresh air and greenery to go at. A great place to play hide and seek and lose the kids (only joking!) Don't get stuck with the Milford end. there's plenty of other entrances.Enjoy.
this is certainly up there, as one of the best off road biking locations I have visited... With a decent eatery at the end, serving up great sausage bacon baps.....
Ample parkingGreat trails for the bikes, red route and the monkey especially. Every Sunday they have volunteers to help build and repair new and existing trails. There is an on site Car park, bike shop, food, go-ape, play park and several walking paths - great for the family with some really nice views. The bike trails are easily sign posted and really fun.You could park at the horns pub and bike in from there and go back there afterwards for a drink.Overall a really well maintained place, great for families and you cannot beat free.
Cannock Chase certainly is a stunning place. We went for The Gruffalo Trail which was fab, with plenty to investigate as we went around the trail (including opportunities to go off the beaten track) The carved Gruffalo and Enchanted Fairy Woodland at the end were just brilliant as was the children's playground. Our only disappointment was that the cafe at the end is too small, badly designed layout and nowhere near enough seating for the volume of crowds the Chase attracts. We ended up taking our food and drink to the car as there was simply nowhere to sit. We will however return as this is a great to place to visit with children of all ages, and will bring our own picnic next time.
We don't live far from Cannock Chase so we find ourselves up there regularly. Great scenery, always guaranteed to see deer and last visit we spent a little time at the German Cemeteries.
Went on the gruffalo trail one aged 4 and the other nearly 2. We had a great time with lots to look at.The only issues we had were finding the place in the beginning as it's not well sign posted and that it cost us £4 to park the car which I thought was ridiculous
Regularly visit the chase with family and friends and am never disappointed with the ever changing scenery a must whatever the season
Superb area just great for the entire family. Great for dog walkies..Enjoy the scenery, flora and fauna in abundance but please respect this environment.
i'm lucky enough to have the Chase less than 10mins from my house and walk the dog there most days. Beautiful at any time of year and free!
a beautiful area to explore with activities for all...the cannock chase museum is small but a lovely place to visit too.
Cannock chase ideal place to chill out with friends and family good walks great place for kids and separate runs for cyclists
Cannock Chase is a national treasure. Visit any time of year and there is always something of interest whether it is the wildlife or just the peace and quiet. There is also the opportunity for physical activity with various sports.
Beautiful setting for every one, couples, families with children, joggers or just walking the dog.During the seasons the colours change, looks so different each time.Pretty walking through the bracken or keeping to the paths.you can also visit the German Cementry and visit Spring Vale Lodge for something to drink or eat.You will not be disappointed.
