Visited with my partner who is monkey mad...parking is plentiful and only a short walk to the forest. The monkeys are totally free to roam the site so they live as close to their wild cousins as possible. The staff are knowledgable and are there with any questions you may have.Price is very competitive and well worth the experience. We are adults and loved it and children will be fascinated.
There are not too many places where you can go and be amongst animals that are not separated from humans.Monkey Forest is worth a visit just to be able to get this unique view and frankly the Macaques have so much more space than zoos.It baffles me that some members of the public seem to want a performance. We don't have right to see the animals if they don't want to show up!! Thankfully there were plenty around. The huge downside was the cafe that seemed badly organised. Finished trays were piling up on tables and no one was clearing up. It was a touch unkempt and dirty. There are other facilities, plenty of helpers on hand and notice boards with information. There are also picnic benches and kids play areas. Plenty of parking too.To us this offered good value and an interesting opportunity to see these animals close up.
We visited Monkey Forest in the Feb half term my daughter 10 and son 8. First we are in the on site cafe which was lovely and very reasonably priced. We then went on to the monkey walk. We couldn't believe how close we could get to the monkeys it was amazing. The walk around it also beautiful and ye kids really enjoyed it. The rangers were very helpful and informative. We will definitely be returning in the summer!
Visited the monkey forest for the second time and enjoyed it just as much as the first! The guides are really knowledgable and obviously very dedicated - it was absolutely pouring down with rain during out visit!! It's a lovely walk round and you see lots of the monkies. It's not very far round - took us about 20 minutes on the first lap, even with stops to look around. Nice little cafe and some outdoor seating for picnics. The shop was quite small and didn't have loads in but we visited in March when it had only just reopened. Would definitely visit again, although £8 per adult does seen a little expensive! We still enjoyed our visit.
Both my boys 17 months and 5 years loved monkey forest! Was a fab day out and will be going back in the summer.Only advice is like most places can be expensive to eat there if the weather looks good take a picnic their are plenty of places to sit and eat :)

Thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely review. It sounds like you had a brilliant day and made the most of the onsite facilities. As you enter the forest the monkeys can sometimes be seen high up in the trees, so keeping your eyes on the trees like you suggested is a great tip.The monkeys live very happily within their natural surroundings, with a longer life expectancy in our parks than in the wild. We look forward to welcoming you back to Trentham Monkey Forest in the near future.
Thank you for your review, we are happy to hear this was your second time at Monkey Forest. The babies are still very small and are becoming more adventurous and very entertaining! The Banana Café serves a selection of homemade specials, baguettes and paninis ensuring we use the best quality local ingredients. The ¾ of a mile pathway is wheelchair friendly, however, there are a few steeper slopes. There are a number of benches and large open areas throughout the enclosure which make for the perfect spot to simply sit back and take in the monkey antics as it unfolds in front of you. Thank you for your review, we hope to see you again.
