Visited Hartlepool during half term. We took our for boys aged 4 - 7 along for swimming. Really pleased. They all had a great time Lots of different pools and two amazing slides to keep them amused. Only downside was the amount of chlorine used. Way to strong, stingy eyes. Apart from that brilliant pool. Dover could learn alot from this place. Thank you. Lovely helpful staff too
Hi markandemmaThank you for visiting Oasis cafe & for your comments, we find them invaluable in helping us to improve our service. We do aim to keep waiting times down in peak periods but In this case it seems that you did wait longer than we would expect. The day you visited was particularly busy and sometimes despite our best efforts our service cannot be as speedy as we would like, this is due to factors such as our food being made fresh and not being pre packed. In this situation we aim to deliver a good service by communicating with our customers to let them know if there is a wait. We also aim to let them know roughly how long the wait will be so they can make an informed decision on whether or not they want to make an order from us or go elsewhere . In reference to the hygiene comments, I can assure you that all of our staff are fully trained and do wear uniforms. The non-uniform people you speak of were delivering stock and were not part of the team. We hold a five star food hygiene rating of which we very proud of and will continue to build upon with further training to maintain this excellent level of hygiene. I am sorry you had a negative experience and we will take your comments on board to look at how we can further improve the service for everyone. With this this in mind, hopefully you will reconsider and visit us again when you next come to splash
This is a lovely swimming baths that is one of the best in the area. It has two nice water slides which all ages can use. The pool is 25 meters and has six lanes. You can enjoy a leisurely swim or just have fun with the kids. There is a large jacuzzi and a area for small children to play. The learners pool is lovely for parents teaching their children to swim. Oh nearly forgot it also has a wave machine which activates about every 30 minuets. There is also a nice cafe for refreshments with a good view of the pool. There is also a small gym there if you want to keep fit other than by swimming. Good value for the entrance fee and your locker money is refundable.
splash is a great central location to go swimming early on a morning before my shift for work opens 7am so can get a hr in before work only down side is the the gym is tiny but added bonus swimming twice a wk is great for 21.00 per mth membership
Love the wave machine but wish they could come on more regular! Slides not so good as you have to push yourself down. Changing rooms a bit messy but that down to visitors not the staff! Certainly value for money when you get your hours worth in the pool.
Use the gym here. It is relatively small but well kitted out with fitness equipment. Free weights area is not large. Unfortunatly only opens at 6:30 on three mornings a week. Weekend times are at 9 pm and you have to pay for parking between 08:00 and 18:00 mon -sat.
Visited to today for the first time with the kids, and I can honestly say we have had a brilliant day, kids loved every part of it, flumes, waves, bubbles and fountains. The staff on arrival were lovely told us everything we needed to know. The changing rooms and toilets were clean. I have nothing bad to say at all. Safe to say we will definitely go again.
Very much for kids however for myself as an adult I prefer the plain and simple swimming pool. However for the younger members visiting very good.
Dear Jabbott, Regrettably incidents such as this do occur from time to time in public swimming facilities. Please rest assure that we are very stringent with our pool water management at Tees Active. Our staff are qualified through CIMSPA in Pool Plant Management and ensure the chemicals we use in the pool are balanced to ensure a comfortable swim for all users. We have set procedures to deal with various ‘foreign-body’ incidents and follow the industry standards to ensure the safety of our swimmers are paramount throughout. Apologies if this was a bad experience for you. Thanks for your feedback. Tees Active
I live in Hartlepool but very much prefer Splash to Millhouse. The slides here are great fun. The wave machine is a laugh and the food in the cafe is very nice. Would reccomend
Our favourite local swimming pool. Areas for children of all ages. Can be quite boisterous in the busy periods. Not a pool to go to if you just want to have a swim, although I'm sure they have sessions for this.
I visit Splash regularly usually for aquafit and fitness classes. The staff are always polite and helpful and the locker system is very good (included in the admission price and a £1 refundable deposit). Changing rooms are usually clean and so is the pool. Cafe isn't always open and sometimes the drinks machines don't always work so take your own.
Go regularly with the family including 2 young children. Always clean, good facilities. Busy on a weekend so try and go midweek if you have really young children
I recently started frequenting this pool for the lane swimming sessions. The staff are very friendly and helpful and even suggested applying for a leisure card to get a discount every time I go. Their locker system is great and included in the price of admission (a 1 pound deposit). My only qualm is that lanes are not marked slow, medium or fast so swimmers of all abilities are left to decide what lane to go in to and sometimes there is a bit of a jam. For the most part other swimmers are respectful of this and cope. The facilities it self are clean and sanitary. Overall, an inexpensive way to stay active.
i went there with my sons and they loved it and i took a strong liking to the hot tub but they took more to the excelllent slides and furly enjoyed the wave machine
