A great afternoon at billinghamForum theatre watched Oliver absolute brilliant show fantastic threatreStaff were very helpful. met cast afterwards a must to go and watch a show
I have only been going to the Forum for 6 months, as a result of a referral from the doctor, this is best thing I have done in years. I now have something to look forward to every day, the staff are very helpful and friendly and the fitness class instructors are brilliant especially Lucy and Nadine.
You can swim ice skate workout or watch a show at the Forum. It has a great swimming pool and fitness gym were everyone can enjoy themselves. If your an ice skater or ice hockey fan this is the place to go. The rink is really good and can provide for lots of people at differing stages in skating, from beginners to experts with some very experienced coaches. The Forum also has a great little theatre were you can watch shows from plays to ballet, tribute acts to pantomimes and musicals. I have seen some great tribute acts here including Roy Orbison, Johnny Cash and Elvis. The pantomimes are always excellent and the theatre is usually full for each show. This is a great venue for all sorts of activities and you can also have parties there, the food in the cafes are of good quality and not to expensive. Well worth visiting if your going to Billingham.
I have just rejoined after taking a year off due to personal circumstances, during this year off I went pay as you go to serval classes at other local gyms (the fitness classes being my main reason to visit a gym) I learnt from this how good the classes/instructors are at the forum. I found at other places most teachers are disengaged unorganised or just plain uninterested in what they are teaching. I'm happy to say they is not the case at the forum the classes are always changing to suit current needs, the teachers are passionate about what they do(in particular little lady named Jo) and all round the staff from the reception to the gym and pool are friendly and professional.
I swim regularly at the forum and it has a great set up and nice staff. I can't always go when it is adult only so though not complaining as such i just wish the would put a lane in for serious swimmers during the public sessions. Also it would get 5 out of 5 if it provided wi fi.Keep up the good work!
Staff are great, parking is free and the pool has lanes in so you can have a serious swim if you want to or you can also swim with the kids. Make sure you get a leisure card as it saves you money every time you visit and lasts for a year.
Lovely place, plenty to do, staff friendly, wish that a pool would be open to the public without cordoning off lanes or closing pools. All to get extra money in from swimming lessons! Not happy that I had to go to Stockton splash to hold football birthday party, hall available in Forum so should be able to provide service there! Change this then will give 5 stars. PS cafe prices very expensive!
Not having visited this theater for many years we went to see Ha Ha Hood this week. The theater is small but very comfortable. The on line booking is very easy and my tickets arrived within a couple of days. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Because it is a small theater you seem to be much more involved in the production which is a bonus. We were very impressed with the forthcoming events especially Peppa Pig for our grandchildren so have already booked for that.
Been here a couple of time with family to watch shows, good value for money and the staff are always helpful. Thety always have a good range of shows on so no doubt I will be going back
Went to see granddaughter dancing. Bar fine. No air con on the day and it was very oppressive. Smokers outside the front door at half time, very annoying.
was just basic food nothing that made you want to visit again, the staff were not bothered about engaging in customer service. would rather pop up in to town centre for lunch next time.
This building has something for everyone. Top names and shows at the theatre. Excellent facilities at the pool, ice skating rink and Gym. Plus many other activities.
Visited on teacher training day so very quiet on the ice. Asked for a discount card which can get for free at front desk once completed form. Receptionist - rolled her eyes and said I needed to fill out a form and kept sighing whilst I did it. Person in skate hire then v busy in mobile phone telling someone that they hated job and wanted out, whilst we were waiting to be served. Do the staff not get paid?? I think staff need cheering up. I enjoyed skating and nice to warm up with coffee at rink side. I enjoyed myself, pity none of the staff appear to be doing so.
Tonight some friends of various ages including their children took to the ice (eventually) at Billingham Forum. We stood patiently in a queue from 7.10 pm waiting for cash desk to open, which I have now learned does not open until exactly 7.30 when the skating session starts. The impact of this means that by 8pm you are finally 'getting your skates on!'. Not good....particularly when you watch one frazzled but helpful receptionist try and manage the ice entrance and what I can only assume also to be the pool entrance on one till, while her 2 colleagues have a chat then disappear, Leaving her alone to manage all of it. It was actually farcical to watch, people were entering at a rate of approximately 2 every 5 minutes-it might sound incredibly geekish to even note this, but when it costs £25 for a family ticket for less than an hour and a half session it hardly represents good value for money. I realise there is hockey practice going on but it's hardly rocket science to process people through the cash queue to get them inside into what then becomes the skate collection queue prior to 7.30 and just not allowing access to the actual rink until the practice concludes. Sorry Billingham forum, but this isn't the way to get repeat business from those who have travelled to use the facilities.
It's an absolute joke can't even get in through the door half the time because card machine is so slow it tries to trip you up, A/C could do with being switched on! And it's far to busy you won't get on anything without atleast a 10 min wait easy answer have an On peak and Off peak time table !!
