Well worth a trip. Lovely views. Great on two legs and two wheels. Local parking. Easy to get to. Worth having a little map as there are a few trails on and off the hills / woods.

What a fantastic place to go! Definitely recommended for those with dogs or kids. If you follow the nature trail it will take you to the top which has views to die for.However, it is very steep so make you're physically fit or bring some water for you! There are places to sit on the way up.

Visited this place with family members and everyone had a great time, weaving through the amazing shaped and coloured trees (fantasmagorical or what!) It felt like being in a time warp the children running and playing hide and seek, the adults incredulous, with fab views and a hill to run up (?) or climb and then we had a picnic in the sun! Wonderful.

Excellent walk with the dogs. Well defined footpaths to follow. We entered from Stoughton Down car park and just kept walking till we reached the top. Fantastic views from here.

Used to walk up here when we were children, and still visit. Great walking, stunning views and great if you are into birds, wild flowers and just nature in general

A great place for a bike ride or a run. Great tracks specifically for cyclist with some great views of local areas.

Kingley vale my wife and i had a lovely day at this beautiful place the views are fantastic .And the forest is a really mystical place.if you like walking then please go there you will love it.January 2015.

I'm fortunate enough to live a stone's throw from Kingley Vale and love walking my dogs here. The ancient yews are almost mystical, and the climb to the top is worth the effort for the stunning views over Chichester harbour and beyond. There are multiple walking routes which take in a piece of Kingley Vale so there's always something new to explore.

Lovely scenery and equally good for walking the dog as for a longer trek to the chalk hills and the famous Yew plantation - the largest and oldest( dates back to Roman times) in Europe.

Always a great walk with the family, the kids love walking through the trees, feels like an adventure.

Adequate parking nearby. Good paths and clear signage. Some areas are a little steep. Fantastic views from the top across West Sussex and the Hampshire coastline.

Kingley Vale nature reserve is just over half a mile on a level track from the free car parking area at West Stoke. For the energetic there are varied walks up the side of the Vale to the hill that overlooks the area, where can be found the Bronze Age barrows known as "The Devil's Humps". From here there are great views over Chichester and the surrounding area; and across the Solent to the Isle of Wight. In (or after) very wet weather some of the paths can be muddy and slippery, so good footwear is essential in such conditions. The descent can be down either side of the Vale.If you do not feel like the climb up the hills, there are plenty of tracks through the bottom of the Vale, some of which are part of a marked Nature Trail. There is a small information centre located near the entrance to the Vale from the West Stoke approach; and an information board that lists interesting recent sightings of the varied wildlife.

Lovely views, great old wooded area, lovely walk. Well worth the hike from the car park. Had a pinic half way up with the family, everyone had a lovely day

We love this place, great for kids but if you have dogs be aware you must keep on a lead inside the wooded areas. Lovely for a picnic spot too.
