We bought this day for our Grandson who is currently studying Applied Animal Science at University. I went along as the "Spectator". We both found the day totally absorbing and fascinating much enhanced by the owner Keith's encyclopeadiac knowledge of the subject and the obvious pride he has of the birds and their welfare.We originally booked the half day experience but upgraded it to the full day which included flying and training the birds. This immensley enhanced the experience and I would reccomend it.A great day for us both.

I am stunned by the amazing day me and my dad have spent here. Each bird is given a very high standard of love, care and attention. Keith the owner is truly dedicated to the animals and also ensuring you have a wonderful day. It is a small collection but the variety of birds he has on site is would be hard to match in any big mainstream collection. His insightful knowledge and years of experience make your day that bit more interesting listening to stories and facts about the birds. And It was great to be in such a RELAXED chatty atmosphere thank you so much Keith and Karen!!!!! (I HOPE I GOT THESE NAMES BOTH RIGHT)

What a great insight into the falconry world, bought as a birthday gift and not regretted for one minute. Very easy going and well presented by somebody genuinely enthusiastic about their hobby/business, very funny and genuine. As a group of 6 we were all made to feel equally important and given unhurried time "holding" the birds, very good.I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the experience to anybody looking for something just a little bit different, well worth it, many thanks from Sally & Leigh.

I visited Forest Falconry for aPhotography half day and thoroughly enjoyed myself. I was in awe of the birds which are uberImpressive and it's fantastic to get up so close to them. Keith made sure we got plenty of opportunity for photos and I walked away with some quality shots. I had a great time and would happily go again.

For my birthday, my wife treated me to the full day experience. From start to finish, the whole day was amazing. The owners and staff we very , funny and welcoming. The number and range of birds to get to interact with is excellent value for money. Definitely worth doing the full day, else you will miss out on the Golden Eagle. My personal favourite was Pee-Wee the Harris Hawk. I would highly recommend to all.

Have just spent a thoroughly entertaining and educational day with Forest Falconry.The day was a present from my partner and although I am interested in this type of thing I would never have booked it for myself. Well how lucky I am that it wasn't down to me! Everyone went out of their way to make the day a success (even down to recharging a flat phone battery), answering all questions, however daft, but making sure that we got everything we could from the day.I can now say that I've had a Golden Eagle land on my arm, if you get the chance you should as well.

Wow! I bought the experience day for my partner nearly a year ago and having finally got it booked I was a little apprehensive that it should live up to our expectations. Well, I didn't need to worry, what an awesome day out for the pair of us. Even though it was his experience day, I felt part of it all and was made to feel welcome and involved. Keith and Ian are extremely knowledgeable and obviously have a passion for all of the birds, they rapport that they have with them is amazing.It was definitely money well spent and one to tick off the partners bucket list.

What a truly fantastic activity. Visited for their half day event and couldn't of enjoyed it more. I went alone but was made to feel welcome, and the friendly experienced team were great. Had loads of fun with misbehaving owls lol, then playing with the Harris hawk. Thanks to all, I will be returning :)

I got a falconry half day experience for my birthday and it was brilliant. The people running the place was friendly and you could see they were passionate about what they are doing. Great experience! Definitely going to come back again!

I bought my husband an experience day for his birthday and what an experience it was! We were blessed with perfect weather to see these beautiful birds up close and personal. Ian and Keith made us feel very welcome from the start and obviously get so much job satisfaction from doing what they do. No questions were left unanswered and we learnt so much about the day to day maintenance of the Hawks, Owls and Eagles. Would definitely recommend this as a day ( or half day) to remember.

I booked a whole-day experience mainly to see a peregrine falcon, as I've always had a fascination. I had to cancel my first booking due to weather and illness, but Karen was the very definition of patience and friendliness with my numerous phone calls to rearrange and check that all was OK the second time around. And boy, was it worth the wait...From the moment we arrived, it was clear to see it was going to be a good day. Ian (our main guide for the day) was funny, friendly and informative - I really didn't expect to learn so much during the day. Both Ian and Keith have an obvious love of what they do and a close bond with the birds (I'll never see the letters "AI" in the same way again!) and that transfers itself to the visitors.The group was just the right size to have a good mix of characters without being overloaded; four 'handlers' and four spectators. We handled a range of birds from the barn owl to the golden eagle; each had their own character.I genuinely can't find any fault with this experience. I fulfilled a boyhood ambition and had a great day into the bargain. I recommend going for the full day experience if you can afford it. I will definitely be back in a year or two. Thank you all.

Actually, I probably don't want to own an owl, but next time I get tempted, I am going to go back to Forest Falconry. Firstly, Ian, Keith and Karen were absolutely lovely. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel welcome. I learnt loads but never felt bombarded with information. I flew lots of different birds, but the owls were my favourite, particularly the Siberian Eagle Owl. It is quite something to be able to say that I flew a Golden Eagle. Everyone is impressed just because of the sheer size of the bird. Fab fab day. Came home exhausted but very happy.

Just felt I had to say what a wonderful day this was with Keith, Karen and Ian. From the moment you first arrive they make you feel so at ease for the things to come. From Barn Owl to Golden Eagle their knowledge and passion in what they do rubs off on you. Great experience as this was something I have always wanted to do. Will be going back.

We have just got back from one of the most amazing days ever. This superb day was a birthday present for my husband and I enjoyed as much as he did, even though I was the spectator. Keith,Ian and Karen were so welcoming, with their wonderful sense of humour we felt so at home. To be able to get so close to these most beautiful birds was quite magnificent and to be eye to eye with a Golden Eagle was just breath taking. We would recommend anyone to try this unique experience. Our sincere thanks to Keith,Ian & Karen for sharing their knowledge with us. We would love to come again.

What an amazing morning. I got to handle my two favourite Owls (Barn and Snowy). This is such a special place and you are made to feel so welcome. The atmosphere is relaxed and due to the small group size everyone gets a chance to be involved. It is clear there is a great passion for the birds by the owners and falconer and it is infectious as we didn't want to leave. It was great to listen to Karen, Keith and Ian and I highly recommend an experience day here, you will not be disappointed.
