All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. They gave the whole place a very personable atmosphere which made it feel very welcoming. All the animals were well looked after and friendly. Definitely a great place for a family day out.
took my son yesterday and we were greeted by the farmer, very friendly, chatty man, talked us through what he had there. there was cups of food at 50p each to feed to amimals, hot food which was lovely, loads of ride on toys which my son loved, a bouncy castle and a good variety of animals. turkey, geese, swans, chickens, donkeys, hares, lots of cute, fluffy goats, a deer, cow, pigs, lamas, alpacas, a rhea. as we were leaving we had a quick sit down and spoke to the owner, and he asked us to sign his comment book, which i was happy to do. he even gave us some alpaca fur as a souviner. very welcoming place and would love to bring my son here again. he had so much fun running around and there was a sink to wash our hands.
Lots of farm animals to look at and feed, From chickens, cows, alpacas, donkeys, goats, hares to owls, to names a few. large layout with good walkways around all the pens and paddocks, some petting also allowed. Staff very welcoming and friendly, Big collection of outdoor toys for children to enjoy while you sit and maybe have a tea or coffee, at a small roadside style cafe. Well done guys good job. Remember this a farm type environment, not a zoo so be prepared for basics, like porter loo and you may need wellies on a damp day.
We had a great day here today. The staff were very friendly and very knowledgeable about the individual animals. The animals were really friendly and happy to be fed and stroked. My only advice is if you have a young child bring your own food as the food available is things like sausage and bacon baps (which were lovely to be fair!). Would thoroughly recommend going here!
Took my 6 year old daughter here on sunday and had a great time! Staff were very friendly, as were the animals! The petting area was great and my daughter loved taking the pygmy goat for a walk! Think we'll be back again next week :-)
Had a brilliant day out, our 2.5 year old son really enjoyed himself, especially the tractor trailer ride. All animals are friendly and the staff was very knowledgeable, the animals were well looked after too. Great value for money and would be happy paying more for entrance and tractor trailer ride. Shame the council are not giving this place the support and backing it deserves. Definitely will be returning soon.
This is a lovely little petting zoo on a working farm. A great and affordable day out for families. The staff were fantastic and really care about the animals. There is a supervised petting area where children can have a hands on experience, holding rabbits, guinea pigs and other small mammals. Children can take sparkle and Leo the sheep for a walk alternatively they can take the goats for a walk. All of the animals are very tame. There are lots of activities available for children includIng tractor rides, bouncy castle, play area, small animal petting area and the opportunity to stroke a barn owl. The farm was easy to find, there is a parking area in front of the entrance, there is a burger van and seating area under a canopy also toilet facilities. Always check their website before visiting as opening hours can vary this time of year due to weather. A fabulous day out and will definitely be visiting again.
My daughter and 2 year old grandson took me to Farmtastic Animal Farm for my first visit. He'd been the weekend before and loved it. What a peaceful place right out in the countryside. The animals look so well cared-for and seem to love the attention (and food) from visitors. All ages will enjoy the animals. Plenty of ride-on toys for toddlers and lots to do. We were glad of the food/drink kiosk and portable loos! Do hope it can become more permanent.
Took the family, including nearly-two-year-old Grandson, to visit this place yesterday. What a brilliant place and we didn't know it existed until recently even though we are fairly local because we understand they are not allowed to advertise due to some bureaucratic rule! Wonderful educational site for children of all ages (and adults) which should be supported by the local authorities. Staff and volunteers were so helpful and knowledgeable and they really love and care for their animals. Charlie loved feeding the calves, holding a tiny chick and a rabbit (so did Nana!) and playing with all the available toys too. We will definitely be back and will tell all our friends with children. Please support this venture. We are so lucky to have it - it would be such a shame to lose it!
the whole family had an awesome day today the Farmtastic, it's a great place to visit, with large and small animals of many different types - perfect for any age group. lots to see and do, and really friendly staff, who are knowledgeable and committed to caring about the animals. highly recommended!
Visited the farm for the 1st time today. Great day out, stayed several hours. Staff were all very welcoming and knowledgeable. If you go prepared, in wellies as the website states then it adds to the enjoyment. Enjoyed the whole day from the lamb walking to the tractor ride and feeding the baby animals. Will most certainly be returning. Good value for money!
Had a lovely time. 3 boys aged 14,11 and 12 months enjoyed feeding the animals. Highly recommended. Very friendly staff. Will return soon.
My husband and I visited Farmtastic Animal Farm this afternoon. Great experience. If you want to go and see animals that are well cared for and like being cuddled, then this is the place to go. All the animals are in large pens, and for a small price you can hand feed them. The owners are very welcoming and any questions will be answered readily. Please support this farm, it could be a real assett to the area. Thanks for great day Dave, Liz, and all the volunteers.
Just back after our first trip to Farmtastic and what an absolute treat - we are still buzzing and talking about this wonderful place. We arrived with just over an hour before closing and was in for a treat from the start - we took the sheep for a walk and then bought some cups of animal feed and went and explored - as it was raining the owner leant my daughter a coat which was a lovely touch. I was overwhelmed by how much there was to see at this farm and with such a low entry fee compared to similar attractions. I loved how you could walk around the pens and mingle with all the animals, all of whom are obviously well cared for and loved. You get a sense that you are on a real farm (which of course you are). I went with my Daughter (8) and my Son (22) and it is often difficult to find something to do with such a great age gap but this place ticks all the boxes for both my children and it was lovely to see them walking around laughing and enjoying the experience together. There are plenty of ride on toys for the children to whizz around alongside the honking geese. There is also a real tractor to sit on and tractor rides too. After we had seen all the outside animals we sat inside the entrance marquee and held the baby goats, giant rabbit, guinea pigs and turkey chicks - we also got to see an orphan Muntjac which lives happily with its friend the Shar pei (seeing is believing) - The owners and staff are the most welcoming people who sat and told us the history of the animals (I love the short legged Bull) and even surprised us by letting us feed the calves (thank you a real treat) - we spent nearly 2 hours on the farm and wish we had known about this place before - I know that now we have found it we will be back on a regular basis - perfect family day out - we wore flip flops and trainers and didn't get muddy but I guess next time we will take our wellies (and coats) - there is a refreshment hut and toilet facilities but we had no time for either of these - thank you to the hardworking owners for taking the time to sit a chat with us in between caring for the animals.
What a lovely day out we all had at Farmtastic near Royal Wootton Bassett..Lots of different animals for the children to get really close to and handle, stroke or even hold, It was very educational for them especially whilst reading the information sheets on the different animals on each enclosure. Costs were very reasonable and even hot water and soap outside to wash our hands after handling the animals, lots of these types of places only have cold water which is not very nice on a cold day. Very helpful and educated people on hand to answer any questions from the children. We will definitely be going back again soon and if you have children that are also interested in this type of thing I would thoroughly recommend it.
