We went this morning, I booked it as a surprise half-term treat for my three daughters aged from 10 to 15, although I wasn't too sure if they would enjoy it or not. It turns out that they absolutely loved it.Lee gave clear and firm instructions without spoiling any fun. They had 10 laps between them for £60, this seemed like enough (although they wouldn't have said no to longer!). They have already asked if they can go again with friends for their birthdays. Tip (as I struggled to find it), when you drive onto Rougham Industrial Estate follow road until you see a company called Avelair Ltd and then turn left just as you go past, follow to end and you will find the hovercrafts.Highly recommended!
Three 'oldies' went on the Saturday before Christmas. We were the only customers that day, so he opened up specially. We all enjoyed a fun-filled morning.
Had a family outing, 10 of us in all, we hired 2 craft for 1 hour, after a very good brief from lee, (which you need to listen to, as what he says is spot on!) we then started! All a little nervous to start but after putting lees good advice to use we all started to rip about! Doing approx 3 laps at a time then changing we all got approx 3 goes each.We had a couple young members in our group which was not a problem at all, they sat either in front and steered (with help) or sat behind and enjoyed the ride! All in all it's great fun to do and be warned.... It's harder than you think!!!!! Now stop reading this and try it!!!!!
As two families of 4 we hired one hovercraft for an hour and had a lot of fun watching each other learning to negotiate the course. Lee advised us at the start of the best ways to control the craft, but added it was best learned out on the track. Eight of us each had 2-4 laps and a really enjoyable time. I'd thoroughly recommend this activity for groups of all ages.
Visited as a family for a fun afternoon and it did not let us down, great fun and great experience in driving a hovercraft, well worth the visit and will return again for some more of the same
Received this as a present from a friend. It's such a great laugh, the guy was so helpful and ensured we had a great experience. I would recommend you give it a go ... At least once
What an experience! Expertly delivered tuition and great fun to put into practice! ~ Very Highly Recommended ~
Lovely friendly people who explained everything extremely well. We'd never done anything like hovercrafting before and although we were terrible, we still got a lot out of it just by learning how the hovercraft moved and reacted to our moves. The best thing was that as you're on a cushion of air, even those with bad backs etc. can have a go without any pain. We did struggle with the poor signage to the field itself but a quick phone call fixed that. Highly recommended.
Bought this for my brother-in-law and had an excellent time! You really should go - amazing experience!
Took grandson to try his hand at hover-crafting. It was pretty good and enjoyed by all. The signage could be improved a bit once you get on the 'airfield' but we did find it. The track that has been laid out is interesting with lots of turns and a slight hill. The site is pretty basic so take care of all your 'needs' prior to going because there doesn't seem any place to 'go' and there are no refreshments to be had. Good fun though.
If your looking for something a little off the norm, try Flo-ridaz. Have to admit being a bit nervy but once you get going what a buzz on the hovercraft.Lee the instructor will talk you thru the do's and dont's and then off you go, would love to go back and have a few more laps at some stage.Good fun.
We went last Friday on our first visit to Flo Ridaz - it was absolutely brilliant, 5* fun for the whole family. I was a little reluctant to drive one by myself, but thankfully I was persuaded to and can't wait to go back and have another go. Both daughters loved it and I can imagine this being top of the list of things to do for birthdays etc. Lee was great. I can't recommend this activity highly enough!
Despite never been hover crafting before it was a great activity and fairly easy to pick up after several small incidents. It's a great idea for a birthday present or as a group to go along for half a day. The instructor is helpful and will provide advice when needed, he will also let you get along with learning as you go. It's worth a visit and a few laps, fairly cheap for thrill and new experience. Definitely going back soon.
With a friendly and supportive instructor I felt in safe hands for my first ever go at driving a hovercraft.........I would recommend this to anyone, young or old and they have experiences tailored to anyone aged 4 and over with youngsters able to have a ride in one while the experienced instructor does the driving, 12 to 14 year olds get instruction and then at the discretion of the instructor if he thinks they are safe enough they can go 'solo'....15 and overs get a great briefing with the important do's and don'ts and then it's straight in the driving seat to give it a go........such a huge adrenaline rush and I want to get back soon to develop my skills further !
Got a voucher as a present and headed over full of trepidation. No worries as Lee talked us through the things to do, and the things to try and avoid doing. He then did a demo lap (with the kids in the back), before letting us loose. I spent more time in the long grass than intended, but had a great time. A brilliant way to amuse yourself and friends. When you go, remember Aesop's fable about the hare and the tortoise - there are some parallels here! As others have said: incredibly enjoyable! We'll be back!
