The Promenade at Cleveleys is now a modern clean and well designed public space that is user friendly. There is easy access for buggies, wheelchairs and other users with mobility problems. The redeveloped Prom runs from Rossell Beach along past Cleveleys Centre and certainly adds to the lure of Cleveleys. There are plenty of shelters and seating albeit all of these are concrete in construction but they fit very well with the overall design of the Prom.A family friendly beach with decent parking close by albeit pay and display. The Cove Cafe is at the Rossell Beach end with a pleasant outside patio and public toilets situated in the building development.
Its a nice fairly simple design that works well and is quite practical. Big improvement on what it used to be and now a scheme is underway to transform the adjacent Anchorsholme area that will only complement it.
Cleveleys Front has been re-developed and looks great, if a little grey(!) It all seems to blend into one when you're looking up from the beach. From the promenade though, it works, making the whole vista kind of seamless. It was a cold day in February, so we didn't experience it at its' best, but it definitely warrants a return visit in the summer. Beach looked very good.
My husband and I visited Cleveleys seafront on a Sunday afternoon. We were pleasantly surprised at how clean the whole area was and how well-designed. It was a place where couples, families, the elderly, could stroll along the front, or actually on the beach, (which seemed to go on for miles), without fear. Dogs were also able to run on the beach. A lovely safe area. Also close to loads of shops, and eateries, so a nice place to spend a day.
I have been on a few sea fronts around the world, but this truly world class. Mostly because of the design it is fabulous and still pretty new. Mostly wheelchair friendly and most importantly the people of cleveleys are warm and friendly.
I live in Fleetwood but love coming to Cleveleys seafront just everything is there shops, arcade, places to eat, ice cream great place love it
The money spent on the promenade at Cleveleys has made this a great pleasure to be here. Lovely views of Morecambe Bayand Cumbria. Invigorating clear sea air and local hospitality. This is the life.
Lovely place to visit, very clean and for anyone visiting with pushchair or wheelchair a dream with the ramps. Local chippy or ice cream parlour so you can take something to eat and sit on one of the many seating areas
I take my little boy here most weeks during summer. The work that was done on the front is lovely and it's a really nice place to spend a few hours making sandcastles. There is a water fountain that children can place in during summer months too
Just back home from another weekend in Bispham/Blackpool , but we always call for a coffee in Cleveleys & even more so now Costa have opened up on the High St . The newly renovated seafront is lovely and the sunsets beautiful across the sea , there's also a very nice cafe ( CAFE COVE ) further along the promanade with great views . The high street has a great selection of shops and it always seems buzzing .
If you had been away from Cleveleys for 10 years & came back now you would not recognise the place. Probably an over the top comparison but it has been likened to Barcelona front with the new lighting & the promenade walk.It is packed on a nice weekend & families are walking/riding/running down to Anchorsholme & Rossal. When Anchorsholme is complete you will be able to walk from Rossal all the way to Blackpool, what a lovely place it is now.And don't forget the cafe on the front with its panoramic views(and the coffee cake as well!!!!mmmmmm)
Clevelys seafront is lovely and clean compared to years ago the improvement has been for the better looks great at night when all lite up plenty of shops pubs for evening meals shall go back
As well as stunning sea view and beautiful new prom you can easily get to a huge variety of shops and a brilliant cinema.
the beach front and walkway is lovely lots of seating areas and in the evening it all lite up with coloured lights.
I'm sad to say, as a resident 20 minutes away, that over the past few years Cleveleys is getting more and more run down. The promenade has had money spent on it and is looking great, but this cannot be said for the high street straight off the prom. I'm sat here in my favourite cafe that ive been coming to for years (Renoir) and sitting in the same seat I always try to sit in, and the view is quite depressing. Blackpool and Poulton le fylde down the road are both making a lot of effort to revitalise their central shopping areas and Cleveleys is going to lose out because of this.
