We went today Mothers day and had a fantastic time. The groups is kept small to 10 and this makes the experience even more enjoyable as you get chance to ask questions and really get involved with the activities. Everyone we saw today was extremely knowledgeable and obviously love working with these magnificent creatures. You get much more involved than just watching a falconry display and are shown how to handle the birds and how to prepare and accept one flying from a treetop to your gloved fist. All instructions were very clear, safety is top priority here along with the welfare of every bird. Site has been well thought out and we even had heating and as many hot drinks as we wanted making things very comfortable for us humans too. Would definitely recommend and may buy vouchers for friends it was so good.

Wonderful day, given to me by my daughter as a Xmas present, through Travelzoo. The team are very friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. Definitely a repeat visit will be arranged soon. Such a pleasure to see healthy and content birds, so obviously well cared for.

I bought this voucher as a Christmas present for my husband and for myself as a spectator. I booked the date at the same time as they do get booked up ahead. What a lovely day we had my husband enjoyed his chance at flying the birds and it was lovely to watch too. All the birds were healthy and well looked after with knowledgeable staff that willing answered any question. It was a well organised day and we were lucky with the weather and have some lovely photos as a reminder of the day. Would visit again.

Bought the experience through Travelzoo. But would willingly pay full price. Very professional, experienced, dedicated & knowledgeable team. Friendly atmosphere. The birds are content & in good condition. Handling the birds was such a privilege & seeing them close up & watching them in the air was incredible.

This is the third falconry experience my husband and I have had and is by far the best. The other 2 places we have visited cared for the birds and let one fly to the fist but didn't fly them as freely as at Fens Falconry. It was a brilliant day, the birds are amazing and the staff friendly and knowledgeable. Watching the Harris Hawk flying was incredible. Only down side was it was very cold and windy but no one can arrange the weather and it was harder for the poor old birds battling against the wind but as the staff said at least they are getting a work out! You can hold some of them, get them to fly to your fist, see lots of other hawks and owls and take away a bit of information in a very relaxed atmosphere.Hot drinks available all day and a decent meal of jacket potato, beans and coleslaw.

Was bought an experience through groupon. Very knowledgable and friendly staff. Guest area still under construction but will definately take my kids later this year. Healthy birds and interesting to take part in flights. Overall a very good birthday present.

Just returned from fens falcon. I bought it as a present for my partner from groupon and I went along as a spectator. Not sure what to expect but was not disappointed. The staff were very knowledgeable and passionate about the birds without being boring and with some humour. The location was ideal and birds looked very happy and healthy. Would wholly recommend this as a good day. Well done fens falconry and thank you!

Did the falconry day with a Groupon voucher.Lots of information on all bird types there, feeding, training, etc. Knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff. The first two hours were looking at birds and holding a couple (with plenty of photo opportunities), and a short flying demonstration.Lunch was baked potatoes, beans and coleslaw. After lunch we got to fly the birds for a couple of hours.Can be cold and windy so wrap up warm in winter as there's lots of standing still outside. The day started at 11 and ended around 3.We've already booked a similar experience as a gift, recommended if you like birds of prey.

A wonderful b day present I went with a friend a few weeks ago ,really informative very well run day fantastic range of birds all very well looked after ,with masses of infomation given, very professional set up . So nice to get to see birds fly free and to ask as many questions as you like and get hands on with a range of birds ans see them fly free would highly recomend this to anybody with an interest in birds . Will defiantly go again .Marion

This was a birthday treat for my partner, I went along as a spectator and photographer but I will have to go back to experience all for myself. It was a very friendly and informative day. Stsff were brilliant and the birds were stunning in flight. A must for anyone interested in birds. I am booking again soon.

A most interesting and enjoyable time spent with some beautiful birds and their very knowledgable trainers. I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone who is interested in birds. A very friendly atmosphere with plenty opportunity to ask question and handle the birds. The birds are obviously very well cared for and their living quarters are commendable. I will definitely want to do more with falcons. I went end of September 2014 - the Trip Advisor drop down menu for date visited only goes as far as August!

On a hot, sunny July day I finally got around to enjoying my Christmas present from Sue - our trip to this winged world. Definitely a case of far better late than never.Mike, Lee & Amy shared their love and knowledge of falcons & owls & it infected us all in a beautiful way. I chose a Falconry Day since dismissing owls as less exciting. Possibly so but what (some of) those owls lack in speed they make up for in character. To have a large owl on your hand chatting to you is an awesome experience. So was feeling the power of the Harris Hawk ... I could go on but you need to experience it for yourself.I was impressed by Mike who freely and clearly imparted his love for and knowledge of the birds. Also though, since I am an experienced coach & trainer, I appreciated how Mike encouraged then nudged his trainee to just the right degree. Amy, to us you are an expert who gave an excellent demonstration of falcon flying.The quality of this new facility is exceptional and the substantial lunch was a pleasant surprise for someone who expected tired sandwiches. I am considering a day-out for my classic car club ... or family ... or friends. Who would YOU take for an informative and enjoyable day out?

We had a great time and enjoyed being able to actively take part in the flying of the birds. Mike, Ross and Lee were all very knowledgeable and were interesting to listen to recounting their experiences and passing on their knowledge of the various birds. We thoroughly recommend the falconry experience day.

Absolutely brilliant experience. Friendly warm welcome, staff incredibly knowledgeable. Drinks available throughout the day and nice light lunch. Has to be our best day out this year!

It was a cool and blustery day that say us arrive at Fens Falconry for an experience day bought through Groupon. Neither of us really knew what to expect. Mike and Ross made it an educational, fun and amusing experience for us both. The weather meant it very nearly was cancelled, and we were both so glad that they had been unable to reach us in time! - Everyone at the centre is passionate about the care and welfare of their birds and their enthusiasm and love of falconry is evident in everything they do...We both came away with more knowledge about these fascinating birds that we thought possible, and having the chance to handle such graceful, powerful and majestic birds was a real honour.
