Great day spent ghyll scrambling, our instructor Al was excellent, good humoured, knowledgeable about the local area and ensuring the whole group had fun and stayed safe.The activity lasted in total for about 2.5 hours with roughly an hour spent in the water, sliding down rocks and jumping off waterfalls! I would definitely recommend giving it a go!

I tried to book ghyll scrambling with Keswick Adventure Centre when I got their leaflet and read their trip advisor reviews. I called their mobile number on the leaflet and made my booking for my husband and two girls -7 and 9 years old.When I arrived at their centre, I was told that they didn't have a record of our booking! I showed them our leaflet and they explained that it was an old leaflet - they thought they had removed them all - and the mobile number belonged to a previous worker here. YOU REALLY NEED TO SORT THIS OUT, it is not good for your customers!Anyway, they told us that it wasn't safe for our young girls as there had been lots of rain over the last few days and suggested we confirm with the other company that it was still on. There was NO WAY I was going to go to the other guys now!Once the rain had eased and the river had lowered, we came back to Keswick Adventure Centre and had a Fantastic trip - the highlight of our holiday - thanks to Phil our guide.I value this company's honesty - from suggesting that we still use the company that we made our booking with, giving us directions on how to get to them, but more importantly advising us that they didn't think it was safe for our young girls.Thank you.

Had a fantastic time ghyll scrambling this weekend with my girlfriend and her family. Our instructor Al was great fun, but always ensured us that the activity was completely safe. I would highly recommend his company and suggest ghyll scrambling. Thanks

Had a fantastic afternoon with Alistair at keswick adventure centre.we were lucky as had an exclusive tuition with him.well organised.extremely knowledgeable and most importantly great fun.the whole family loved.well worth it.do not go any else.

Had a fantastic afternoon Ghyll Scrambling this weekend. Our instructor Allan was brilliant with the children, patiently encouraging all 4 girls, aged between 10 and 13 years, to come out of their comfort zone and give it a go. Us parents also had great fun! I would throughly recommend this activity and company. We will be back to try out other activities in the future.

We brought the kids to the Lakes for the weekend and had a brilliant time with the highlight being the paddleboarding with Keswick Adventure Centre. Our teens wanted to do something a bit different and this certainly fit the bill.The instructors were calm, professional and very patient and we can wholeheartedly recommend them.We are going to try ghyll scrambling when we go back at Easter and our boys can't wait (the missus, not so much).

An absolute bang tidy activity also Alastair the guide was a top bloke with a lot more tricks up his sleeve other than Ghyll Scrambling.

We do sell Gift Vouchers as 'Fish' quite rightly states. All of our vouchers are sold as being valid for 12 months only - in fact, if someone bought a voucher on the 3rd of the month for example, the voucher is actually valid for nearly 13 months. This is because we give them a year from THE END of the month in which they were bought. Now, in response to your other comments 'Fish', you were unfortunate enough to have an injury back in May and, subsequently, found out in June that you could no longer use your leg until after an operation and, presumably, recuperation time. You called me on the 15th OCTOBER and asked me to extend your voucher by a further 12 months. After me explaining the reasons behind our policy for not extending vouchers, you then demanded that I do as 'ALL the other companies you have ever had vouchers from ALWAYS a extend vouchers for you'' and extend it. This was the point at which I lost interest in trying to help you out, as you appeared to be the sort of person that does this frequently. There are always options open to people that cannot do an activity that has been bought as a gift for them. In your case, you could havea) contacted me at the beginning of the season when your injury happened - it wouldn't have looked like a scam then. b) booked in yo do a less strenuous activity - it states quite clearly on each voucher that they can be used towards ANY of our activities. c) given your voucher to any of your friends for them to use. As I said on the phone, good luck with the op 'Fish'.

Had a fantastic afternoon ghyll scrambling , neither of us are particularly fit as both into our fifties but we had a great time. Never thought I would enjoy jumping into a mountainside stream in October but both myself and my partner had good fun. Our instructor Al was fun but made sure we were safe, the jumps and dives into the pools were a bit scary but thrilling. Would highly recommend a visit.

Me and my boyfriend stayed in the Lake District for a long weekend. We chose ghyll scrambling at Keswick adventure centre as one of our many activities for the weekend. It was the highlight of our weekend by far! Our instructer Phil was great in all aspects of the activity and made sure we thouroughly enjoyed the experience! I recommend this to everyone as it is an amazing experience and amazing value for money!

Picked keswick adventure centre at random and it proved to be a great choice! I went with my 11 and 13 year old boys and we had a great time. We were each provided with 2 wet suits for extra warmth as the weather was bright but quite cold (about 17 degrees C) and the water was really cold at first. The wet suits soon did their job and we quickly warmed up. We were in the ghyll within about an hour after arriving. Al was an outstanding instructor with many years' experience of the lakes and adventure activities, ensuring our safety. Funny and informative throughout, he made the day complete and I will definitely use KAC again. Highly recommended.

Me and my girlfriend went not really knowing what to expect, and it turned out to be fantastic! Our instructor was great, and I'd love to book something new next time with Keswick adventure centre.

We booked to go ghyll scrambling with a mixed party of adults and kids, youngest 10 years. Having never done anything like this before I was quite nervous (scared really). We were instantly put at ease by the lighthearted nature of the guides, Al and Dom. It was clear they knew their stuff and we were in safe hands. They were very patient and you didn't feel rushed when hesitating through trepidation. The kids loved it and I was chuffed to bits that I plucked up the courage to jump the waterfall, something I said I wouldn't do! If in doubt just go for it, you will have a fantastic day out.

Was fun, I had a great morning! Al was an excellent guide, very funny guy. All was perfectly organized, good equipment and guidance. Even the weather was perfect. Thumbs Up!
