I started Polo halfway through The summer season having never ridden a horse before in that time James taught me everything, from Learning to ride in the first place, to my swings to the tactics, by the end of the summer I was playing regularly in chukkas which have the most wonderful atmosphere imaginable and have gone on to University and started to win tournaments against people who have been riding their whole life, this is simply been due to The expert tuition from James.I will certainly be playing with JF Polo Academy for the foreseeable future.

I went to the polo academy to try my hand at a different style if riding. james instructed me from the start and took me from being a competent horse rider to being able to play polo to a standard good enough to play chukkas which was awesome. The horses are all beautiful and well cared for, and james is a patient teacher who will push you to the best of your ability. I fully reccommend this experience for both riders and non riders, james can cater for everyone. The setting is in idyllic cheshire countryside... Ideal for some pub grub after a hard days polo!

An amazing facility, first class experience. Have to say I was somewhat wary about trying polo for the first time but my fears were soon put to rest. From the minute I arrived the staff; particularly James put me at my ease and took me through my paces. I came away wanting more and can't wait to go back and am booked in for my next lesson. Keep up the good work guys you are top notch !!

A fantastic yard with very well kept and trained horses, friendly and helpful staff and a fantastic instructor! I have ridden all my life but trying polo was definetely out of the box! It gave me such an adrenaline rush and was a lot of fun. I highly recommend this place to any horse/sport lover.

This place is soo welcoming and professionally ran! The activity was amazing and learning the basics of polo with an expert means you pick them up like its second nature! The horses are beautiful and the facilities are second to none! I would teccomend that everyone should give polo here ago! And can't wait to get back here!

had a wonderful time and learnt a lot about polo.had never tried polo before but after going to jf polo i was hooked.well school, well looked turned out ponysi would recommend to anyone weither it may be for a taster day, pony club visit or to have a lesson to improve your skills.brilliant place

JF Polo Academy near Chester is a one-off. Think of polo, you think of mega wealth, sport of kings etc. This centre has the highest quality of horses and instruction with the owner yet is really affordable as a way of trying out polo. It really is open to anyone even if you've never sat on a horse before.Also, JF Polo Academy offers chukkas and fun matches in the summer, with BBQ and music etc, again really affordable for people who can already play polo and want to have fun. I highly recommend JF Polo Academy even if you just want to go along and find out about polo, it's a great experience and you will be in safe hands.

An excellent day of learning the basics of polo with an exciting match at the end! I would definitely recommend this to riders wanting a taste of polo that will get you hooked! An experience I would definitely repeat.

After a 10 year break from playing polo I was very nervous about starting again. James was fab giving me the confidence to play again and I have loved every minute. It's such a friendly atmosphere and I have enjoyed playing Chukkas on Wednesdays and Sundays. James is always on hand to give advice and direction during Chukkas ensuring everyone gets the maximum fun and learning experience. Couldn't Rate my experience here over the summer highly enough. His horses are fantastic it's been amazing playing polo on such well trained and looked after horses.Thank you.

JF polo academy is absolutely fantastic. James had time for everybody, he made the whole day memorable and he is a great instructor. I highly recommend visiting JF polo academy to anyone who wishes to learn to play, or just to experience polo.

Jason is hands down the nicest guy we've met in England. He even gave us a ride back into Chester and helped us make dinner reservations. We were concerned about getting to the polo field but a taxi is only £12. We did a 1 hour polo lesson with out even knowing the basics of polo. By the end we knew how the game worked and how to ride. We had so much fun we both decided to pay extra. I can't express how much fun we had!

After Showjumping for 24 years I really enjoyed going to James for a polo lesson. The place is amazing and I was truly impressed with the lovely ponies. I am looking forward to my next lesson tomorrow

Excellent facilities, expert tuition with emphasis on safety. Friendly atmosphere. You should definitely try it, I had my first lesson in March and I'm already playing in matches.
