This park is phenomenally hard to find. However, once you are through the wardrobe & into Narnia you won't be disappointed. Our 1 year old loves it there, lovely & flat for walking around, play areas for small ones, big kids & fitness freaks alike. There's even a cafe, although we haven't tried it. Lucky to live so close to this place! It has its own car park & there are lots of benches too. Enjoy!!
This park is in a convenient central location and has a lovely play area for small children and then a larger area where dogs are allowed. There are various pieces of gym equipment dotted around the park, giving it a fun element. There is loads of room for all and the fountain, pond and formal garden at the entrance are beautifully kept. Well worth a visit.
This park is in Lydney off the main street. Sit and watch the children play and admire the fountains and flowers. Very restful.
Well done Clare another good year, thanks for making me so welcome. Roll on Easter this year when you open again - have missed you. Love your homemade soup.
Difficult to find but well worth the visit and it has its own car park. Tucked behind Tesco's on whitecross road, this park is beautifully well maintained. It has the usual play equipment, two tennis courts (rackets to hire at the coffee house) putting green ( clubs for hire at the coffee house) playing fields an assault course and a trim trail. And to top it all off it has a very good cafe right in the middle of the park which is open everyday from 10 - 4pm throughout the spring, summer and autumn, where you can get light snacks all freshly made, hot and cold drinks and of course Yummy Icecream!
The gardens were looking really nice back last summer, esspecially around the pond! A well kept park with very little litter and plenty to do for kids
had a very pleasant surprise when we took our grandson to the park. hadn't been in the new café but had heard great reports. we were not disappointed. hot choc was great as was the tea and cakes. a lovely play area for the little ones and a selection of things to read. comfy seats and sofa,s too. we will definitely be back.
I was pleased to see that Bathurst Park has already been reviewed a number of times so, to save simply repeating what others already know, I am just going to say that we had a great time there. We got off the Dean Forest Railway train in town and ate lunch in the park. A lovely find to which we will return. Hilarious watching my son race my husband at the obstacle course. My only criticism is that the swings etc. are not fenced off, but there were no dogs around anyway.Thank you to the town council and it's employees for maintaining the park so beautifully. The on site cafe was nice, too.
A wonderful afternoon out, with plenty to entertain. Gardens extremely well maintained.Wonderful park and gym equipment.Superb coffee house.
Visited this location to attend the Cotswold Show. Beautiful surroundings for this function. Excellently organised and this show donates a lot of the revenue to worthy local charities.
This park in the centre of town is very well maintained, the gardens are always kept beautiful, and the play areas are always looked after.Bowls, Tennis, Football, Cricket, Crazy Golf are just a few of the things that go on here. The new little cafe is always worth a visit to finish off your time here.
1920's lido in Forest of Dean, Lydney, Glos. Ran by volunteers, very clean, family friendly cheap day out £1.50 for children and £2.50 for adults for whole day! 12-6pm. Open to serious swimmers 10-12pm and 6-7pm daily between June - end August. Small shop for hot drinks, ice reams and snacks. Water is heated by solar panels, free parking.
This park is always kept immaculate, doesn't matter what time of year the park always looks lovely. The toddlers have a nice area to play in with slides, swings and climbing frames. And the older children have a large slide and an obstacle course to play on. Lovely park that's highly recommended!!!!
