Fabulous scenery - for walkers completely free. Thousands of birds and some expert bird-watchers willing to give advice. Miles of walks in both directions - car parking available too at a price - well worth a visit - and once been, you will want to return.

I love it here! The ground is a bit uneven with no proper footpath so wear sensible shoes. The car park is small so get there early :) as you walk along the cliff tops you can hear the birds and the sea... It Really is so calming. There are various viewpoints so you can see the birds easily my favourites are the puffins. There is a little gift shop too I always come back here every year :) I love taking pictures with my new camera the photo opportunities are fab!

Have been to this site on a number of occasions. It is breath taking in parts and the information centre is excellent with very informative and helpful staff.

I have already uploaded a good selection of photos, taken from the top of the cliffs, to show the outstanding views. It was mid/late-summer when we visited and a lovely sunny day. Lots of gannets and other birds were nested in the pale cliffs. The walks begin from the visitor centre and go in both directions. We visited the viewing points in both directions. The scenery and views were different. At one viewing point there were so many birds you could barely see the cliffs.

If you are looking for somewhere truly breathtaking then this is it the views are fantastic and the birds are just out of this world. The viewing points are well maintained and give the best view points you could ask for. The car park is a bit expensive but if you take into account the whole experience it's cheap at double the price. You can take your dog as long as it's on a lead which is understandable and you get what must be one of the best experiences in the country.

Although currently closed due to major improvements (new visitors centre, etc.); you must visit when you can. Wonderful views, majestic seabirds, interesting wildlife, etc., etc.

We've been a lot of times and the bird life on view is always stunning, Gannets, Razorbills, Guillemots and if you time your visit right you'll see puffins as they've breeding colonies there! They're doing the visitor centre up at the moment (due to complete early 2015 I think) so the reserve is a bit out of action but we'll be going again for sure!

The Bempton Cliffs nature reserve, four or so miles from Bridlington in the East Riding of Yorkshire, provides an astonishing spectacle, for there, between April and August in six miles of 300 ft. chalk cliffs, nestle and breed 200,000 seabirds of almost every kind and in winter there are buntings, sparrows, finches and owls. The cliffs are indeed home to England's only mainland breeding colony of gannets. Even on a cool overcast and windy day in summer, the birds are a sight to behold and never to forget, and a photographer's or bird-watcher's paradise. The only downside - and it hardly matters - is the atmospheric pong that this huge gannetry of gannets, circus of puffins, strop of razorbills, bazaar of guillemots and flock of kittiwakes creates. Bring a camera and binoculars.Gannets[edit]Bempton Cliffs is home to the only mainland breeding colony of gannets in England.[1] The birds arrive at the colony from January and leave in August and September.

we didn't see the puffins - they're long gone at this time of year , but we did see a couple of dolphins , so were well chuffed.

We have been many times over the years and it never disappoints. The scenery and cliffs are spectacular, the birds are amazing and the photography opportunities are endless. There is a small café there for coffee and cake, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful.I thoroughly recommend Bempton Cliffs, but do check out when the birds are there and nesting.

Sea cruise on the Yorkshire Belle on board you told all about the sea birds at Bempton cliffs, the scenery is fab. the cliffs are very steep and there are thousands of birds and they make a lot of noise, but if you are visiting Bridlington then have a cruise on the Yorkshire Belle, the crew are very good and helpful. so sail to Bempton cliffs on the Yorkshire Belle and see all the sea birds.

Bempton cliffs are only a mile away, and we visit several times a year. The collection of seabirds nesting on the cliffs is amazing, and follows a routine year in, year out.Summer time is best, as you have a wider range of birds to see.The RSPB have fenced the cliff edge, and made viewing platforms to give the best sightings of the birds nesting on and in the cliffs. They also have a shop with monitors giving a better view of certain areas of the cliffs. There are gifts, bird food, books, and a good collection of binoculars and telescopes for sale.If you want an ice cream, cup of tea or a snack they are available with seating inside and out. The car park is generous, but there are times when it could do with being a bit bigger. It's a very popular, all year round, attraction with free information from staff who know what they are talking about.
