Me, my boyfriend and our 3 children all had a lovely morning at Hagley Falconry Centre. There are lots of birds to see and it's lovely to be able to see them flying and being fed out in the grassy area with the staff. The man who was doing this on the day was very friendly and was willing to stand and chat for as long as you wanted to answer any questions and share his knowledge. You could see he has a real passion for his job and a love for the birds he cares for. Worth a visit on our own next time though as the children lost interest after a little while...

My partner and I attended a half day bird handling experience and it certainly exceeded our expectations!On arrival we were met with coffee and biscuits, Andy the bird handler explained the plan for the morning and we went off to stand in the flying arena. My partner was handling the birds and I was merely an observer.Andy was a brilliant host - his knowledge is exceptional and he is truly passionate about the birds at the centre. The birds were lovely, they came out for a good amount of time and we were able to take plenty of pictures/videos as they flew and were fed.We spent 3 hours enjoying ourselves with a short refreshment break in between.I would highly recommend this experience for all ages - the staff do a wonderful job and the range of bird species is incredible. People need to further support this local cause!Thank you to all x

Me and my dad went to The Falconry Centre there they had a half-term quiz and amazing displays of bird flying were they answered any questions and you had the chance to win a day of bird flying were you got to hold the birds and let them fly to you. The birds there were magnificent with huge wing-spans and gorgeous colours. Some of the amazing birds included: vultures, falcons, owls, ravens and eagles. I would definitely go again and would certainly recommend this centre to all familys and groups

What an excellent centre, today was our first visit, the staff were friendly, all the birds looked happy and well cared for. Will definitely be coming again and look forward to it.

Find this hidden gem within grounds of local garden centre. As a mom of 2 its hard finding things local that are different to the usual soft play, parks and regular things to do. However this place is fab kids really enjoyed it, its not costly, its educational and for me as a keeper of birds of prey i found it fantastic to gain knowledge fast about my birds....brilliant!

I love this place! Beautiful animals, fantastic displays and staff members are always more than happy to answer questions (no matter how silly the questions may be!)

Although a cold day, we were warned to be prepared, in case it was, it was not just interesting for us adults, but the children with us (ages 6, 9 10) were not only fascinated, but learned a lot. Made the cold seem less somwhow. Flying the Birds was amazing and the afternoon finished with a walk in the woods with a Hawk, which followed us like a dog would! Although we started at 10:00 and finished at 3:00pm, it didn;t seem like it. Probably helped by the owner, who knows his subject and is very enthusiastic - at least it made up for his jokes! Definitely go if you can

I had a reunion with some of my college friends of 40 years standing. The morning at the centre admiring and flying the birds was one of the most memorable occasions of my life. The birds were majestic in all ways with their demeanour strength and beauty. Flying them was a privilege. The owner who was our guide and with his knowledge, humour and understanding added to the attraction. Additionally by managing to insult all the members with his barb like wit. A great morning from start to finish

Even though we came on a very cold winters day, it was still a good visit. I loved seeing the birds and watching them been flown for exercise. The centre does lots to educate about the birds and the guides/staff were so nice to us. They took the time to talk with us and asked if we wanted to know anything, or ask any questions. They let us watch them do practice exercises with the peregrine falcon and the hovercopter in the nearby field.

I was given a half-day experience at the Falconry Centre as a birthday present. The centre is small but does have quite a number of birds. The day started with a tour and talk about the various hawks, eagles, owls etc. Then, after a cup of tea, we participated in flying 8 different birds of prey. All in all a great experience facilitated by a very knowledgeable member of staff.

Brought a half day bird handling experience for my dads 70th birthday and my son,s 12th birthday. Had to wait a few months to book a weekend session but had a fantastic day. They flew 8 birds in total to the glove, ranging from a kestrel to an eagle owl. Tea, coffee and biscuits provided at the start and half way through for a quick break. Staff are fantastic and you can tell they love their job and the birds. If you like birds of prey this is a great present to buy somebody, the centre is open everyday except Christmas and New Year's Day I believe, you will love it.

My daughters bought me a full day experience for my birthday, and what a brilliant day. The staff are excellent, treat you like family, as if they've known you for years. Very experienced and knowledgeable in their field, and extremely informative. Nothing was too much trouble. And you can just tell by their enthusiasm and care that they genuinely love these birds. They're not just for display, it's as if the birds are extensions of themselves. My personal favourite among the birds was Spike the raven, who I actually caught talking to himself - a surreal moment, that will stay with me for life. All in all my wife and I, my daughters and friends had a truly amazing time, and I'd recommend it to anyone who has a love of birds. I would genuinely give it more stars if I could.

We had a fantastic half day falconry experience ! We bought this as a present for my sister in laws birthday. What an amazing day. The birds were wonderful and very well cared for, the staff were extremely knowledgeable and it was obvious that they were very passionate about the birds in their care. Thank you for an amazing experience.

A recent present from my wife. 1/2 day experience was delightful. The staff were just great. Well informed and whilst the corporate hospitality suite is a hut but to be honest it doesn't matter.

Our visit here was a birthday present and what a wonderfully day it turned out. The people that run this centre passionate about what they do. The birds are well cared for and loved.You are given an introduction to working with birds of prey and the opportunity to handle them, even a walk in the woods with a falcon to see how a bird is worked.It certainly was a excellent present and a truly memorable day out.
