Tour was interesting at points but certainly not as engaging as it could have been. Not a tour for children as they would be bored to tears and essentially just a massive advert from beginning to end. I just don't think making beer is a very complex process and as such there isnt really much to say from their point of view.
A very good description of the brewing process, with many fun moments. The tasting area was crowded but still ok, and with a nice vibe for the thirsty savy tasters! The interactive photo and video possibilities are a very nice addition!
i enjoyed this tour..its all about how heinken beer is brewed..very tourist orientated..good craic.loads of free heinken(which is beautiful out of the factory direct).staff are friendly and good fun
The process of brewing beer is fairly simple so the Heinekin company have created something more to capture the imagination and get visitors involved. On the serious side there was good information about the history of the company and its development. Then there is beer tasting and plenty of interactive opportunities so you can post videos and pictures on social media if you are interested. Highly recommended but it is wise to buy tickets in advance fom on of the ticket agencies to avoid the queue!
A good visit, you learn more about the brand and the progression of this household name, i have been on better brewery tours but this is something totally different. Worth the money as you get 3 beers and a free glass.
I have actually visited twice before and enjoyed the second time much more because i was with different people and we took the time to look around and experience everything, for the 15€ we paid we got 3 beers all in, theres a mixture of watch and learn quick guide lessons thens theres lots of interactive guides which are fun. Plus you get to see some real horses which are cute. The whole experience is enjoyed at your own pace which is nice as you dont feel rushed and you can take everything in better then at the end you can chill in the bar area and redeem your beer tokens also at your own leisure no need to rush out for another group coming through, bar area was cool and lively nice music and seating areas, well worth a visit
We went as a group of 8 the youngest 16years old the eldest 67 years old, he was in fact the main reason we went on the tour a birthday trip for the 67 year old ex Heineken worker. We did not buy the 16euros in advance tickets so we went early 10.20 am and only 16 other people were in front of us.Duly paid our 18 euros, and fun was had by all, adults and children could find things to do, from pulling a pint to pulling an attractive passerby to star in an interactive video, with a great Dutch backdrop, and music. The sampling of the different process made to produce this Dam fine beer with explantions, films and surprises, and gifts along the way, the canal boat trip for 1 hour, was a pleasant surprise.Great trip we passed a good 2 hours inside and could have stayed a bit longer as we did not do all of the Heineken Experiences on offer.
One year to the day after visiting Carlsberg in Copenhagen, a nice visit to the Heineken equivalent. First part is history, the brewery and finally more interactive exhibits such as football games from champs league and virtual pouring a drink.Quite different from Carlsberg but just as enjoyable - beer not bad either!
