We were so amazed that such a wonderful interesting winery existed in Portugal. The tour around the cellars and Christina's talk was just terrific. The selection of wines we tried were sooo nice and my companion was overwhelmed with them, he is a true Aussie who appreciates great wines. We will visit again, great value for 10Euro's each Thank you

For 3€ per person we got a short visit of the José Maria da Fonseca (JFM) winery in Azeitão. The place is close to Setúbal and known for its cheese and Moscatel wine. The little village looks lovely.The guided visit was done in English and covered only the Periquita wine and Moscatel wine. In each of respective cellars we got a short but professional explanation.The visit ends with a winetasting of 2 wines of very good quality in the wine shop. At an extra charge you can also taste (and buy) the other wines JMF produces in different areas of Portugal.Worth visiting if you are in the area and have some time left.

The visit to Moscatel cellars of Setúbal is a unique opportunity to know the history of a family business that, for seven generations, produces not only the famous Moscatel of Setúbal, but also excellent red wines of this region.The surrounding scenery of the gardens and the taste of wines complement a very nice visit.
