Really nice to visit in salou....excellent area and so much to do nearby. A must see in salou when there...such a loverly place all round
We walked all the way along from the fountain to the end then turned right and up across the railway crossing and had a browse through those shops before a nice walk back along Avenida Jaume 1 just stopping for a drink and an ice cream while watching people pass by.
Lovely to stroll along in the sunshine, palm tree lined and traffic free with a view of the lovely beach. Beatiful fountain at the end near the Mrina which looks lovely at night when it is illuminated.
Long walk along the sea front lined with many shops selling all sorts of things you even have Mac Donalds. Towards the end of the street you find C De Baraclona a lovely spanish area with the buildings and surroundings more arthentic spanish looking compared to the large commerical buildings else where. The walk is surrounded by large trees and many many foundations which at night light up.
A really pleasant stroll from the marina into the tourist centre.Tree lined and adorned my fountains which are illuminated at dark.Plenty of seats and a safe feeling.
This Avenida stretches all the way along behind the Levant Beach, half way down there is the monument to Jaume I, and it finally comes to an end near to the marina. It is totally flat, so ideal for those who can stride out and enjoy a good walk there and back, at the town end is where the dancing fountain can be found.Plenty of bench type seats if you are in need of a rest and the ice cream shops or cafe bars are not too far away, well worth walking and visiting.
Street Entertainers, Fountains, late night opening shops, bars, restaurants. A quick drink or a delicious ice cream - we rarely went back to the apartment before midnight.
this is a great spot to walk or sit and watch the world go by.fountains at both ends .the yatch club end is were the fountain show begins at 9.30 -10.15 bring a camera to capture the dancing fountains . then do as the local Spanish do and have a coffee and a bowl of icecream .shops all around .
Lots to take in, fountains, statues, high end shops, the beach, the sea and all before or after dinner. Make sure to catch the fountain show at the end of the walk in the evening!
Really surprise how lovely salou seafront is. The promenade was beautiful, long, wide and perfect for walking along. Lots of little playgrounds for younger children to play in and fountains dotted around....very impressed!
Always busy but never crowded, full of locals strolling along in the morning, people walking dogs, cycling, gathering, as well as tourists strolling and enjoying the many different statues, monuments and unique shop-fronts that are on offer. So much to do and see, and far more enjoyable a walk from one side of Salou to the other given you don't get pestered by street hawkers either.
You see the beach, palm trees and fountains, there's a lovely area for kids. There's lots of shops and restaurants on the other side. It's a lovely walk
Walking or ciclying this Avenue is beautiful and perfect for a stroll, was a real pleasure walk along there.
Lovely walkway lined with palm trees. Fountains at the Port end illuminate and are synchronised to music. Love this area of Salou and good to see many families make use of it especially in the evenings.
It's a walking street along the beach, very pleasant with palm trees and fountains and play area for kids.... many restaurants and touristic shops on the other side...
