Great camping park with a very nice bar and restaurant. Great transport just at the gate. 1 euro to get the bus down to San Sebastian. Spacious parking bays great shower and washing facilities.

Don't bother paying 2.2 euros to visit the top- we didn't...enjoy the walk up..and down. Great views of sea and town...little lighthouse.

I went there on a sunny winter day with my friends, and even though the amusement park was closed, we had a great time! It is a quiet place with branches to have a picnic with friends or fiancé. We climbed Monte Urgull the day before, but the experience of going to Mt. Igueldo ended up not being repetitive since this is a higher hill and the overall sensation is quite different - there's less nature to enjoy, but the funicular (the train to get up there) is part of the fun! Just check the opening times before getting there!

The furnicular went up a very steep slope to get up to the top of mount igueldo. There's supposed to be a mini theme park up there but I suppose it's closed during winter.Pick a day when the weather is good and the sky is clear to go up Mount Igueldo as the views are amazing. You can sit on one of the benches up there just admiring the view. A must visit in San Sebastián!

There´s many places good viewpoints in San Sebastian, but this is by far the best. Take the funicular or walk up if you have the time, and get ready to be breathless with the views from up there, both of the city, as well as of the coast to the west.

We decided at 8 pm to overnight in San Sebastián on our way to Santander and had planned to book into the Mercure on Monte Igueldo, as this hotel chain normally welcomes dogs. The satnav led us to the top of the hill, but we didn't find the hotel en route. We did, however, find the lighthouse at the top of Monte Igueldo and the most amazing views of San Sebastián by night. When we called the hotel, they told us that they no longer accepted dogs, so we decided to stay elsewhere, but we were very glad to have had the chance to climb to the top and look down on the twinkling city.

if you only have time to climb one of the hills framing the promenade, this is the one to chose. You can take advantage of using the inexpensive Funicular to get to the top of the hill (a brilliant experience in itself) where you'll find expansive balconies affording breathe-taking views of the entire city, (and the statue on the opposing hill), an antiquated, charming funfair and a cafe selling thick hot chocolate.

If you're a connoisseur of photography, this is the best place to take immaculate pictures of the town. The amusement park captures the antiquity of the town, and for a brief moment you feel like you're in a time from 100 years ago. I recommend riding the bumper cars to feel like a kid again. I visited here in December 2010 and remember it as quaint and enjoyable.

Having caught the little tram up the mountain (takes 3 minutes) we were amazed by the incredible view of the city and beaches. On a clear day it must be quite breathtaking. The theme park was shut as low season so there wasn't a lot to do but take some photos of the incredible view. But it's a must do activity while visiting San Sebastián.

This place is beautiful and definitely worth a visit. We walked along the beach to the Funicular and took a ride up the mountain in this cable car. It's cheap, old time - 102 years old and very steep. It looks to have only one cable pulling you up - so a bit scary. At the top is a lovely old time amusement park which felt like magic - it really was so pretty - and the views from the top over San Sebastian are amazing. We rode the roller coaster just to live dangerously. It's so old it looks like it should collapse! We clearly survived and thoroughly enjoyed everything here. There is an old castle/tower filled with photos of days gone by depicting life in Donostia. We did not eat here but there is a restaurant. I highly recommend - this was my favourite place in Spain.

I have walked the terrain of Monte Igueldo on several occasions during my lifetime. I especially enjoy looking at the vegetation, particularly the apple orchards where I used to pick apples. People should explore this offshore location while visiting San Sebastian.

The views from this location are superb and expansive! Take your time and soak it in...then let the kids enjoy some of the attractions. Most are for very young kiddies, but all seem to be fun in some way. Make sure that you explore, as you can be surprised what you can find just by walking around. You can drive up to this park, or take the bus, but the best way is to enjoy the cable car ride up the mountain. It's like stepping back to the early 1900's (because you are!!).

For adults the best feature is the view of San Sebastian -- awe inspiring! The kids and parents at the amusement park looked like they were having fun but we did not partake of the rides and attractions.

If you are in Donostia/San Sebastian for a few days, And the weather is nice, I recommend taking the funicular to the top of Monte Igueldo. We walked to the funicular station at the bottom of the hill, paid a reasonable price for a ticket, rode the funicular to the top, and had a liesurely stroll at the top, enjoying the wonderful view of the bay, the city, and the hills beyond. It gives you a good feel for the unique geography that surrounds the town. If you don't want to walk to the lower funicular station, we saw both a city bus and the doubledecker tourist bus make stops there.

The quaint funicular tram up the hill to this spot. the tram starts at the south end of bay behind the tennis center and is worth the price. Especially if the option was to walk up.A walk about the amusement park will soon conclude it isn't worth a visit - its not that great. But the views are something else. from the north you can see all of San Sebastian and the coastline to the north. On the other side is another (not quite as good but worthwhile) view to the south. There is an average cafeteria where we had a snack and a coffee and enjoyed the views. For the price of the tram and a coffee it was a well spent couple of hours
