Old Union is located within the Owen Glen Subdivision. I've played there several times and found the course challenging, but the "clubhouse" lacking in facilities. At a recent tournament I played in, there were no water stations along the course, even though temps were in the high 80s and humid. The surrounding subdivision from what we've heard is having financial difficulties, which might affect the investment in the course, in my opinion. The one positive is a large driving range and practice area, with reasonably priced range balls. The range is approx. 1/4 mile from the clubhouse and carts are available. There is no food or drink service to speak of. Snacks and cold drinks from the cooler are available. My friends and I prefer Butternut Creek GC, county owned, a few miles south, which has a nicer course, and upscale facilities with a full bar and grill (huge burgers). A conference center is also on site at Butternut Creek.

I can't help wonder why none of the mountain landscape is used ? We are surrounded by hills but we play in the flat only ? This landscape offers amazing opportunities and none is used :( If they would use the landscape more for golf and not home sites it would draw more people to purchase land sites because the course would be worthy of buying a second home..the fairways are not very good and the water they use to sprinkle the greens smells god awful. .A gem waiting to happen I just hope they get right one day...A GREAT CHALLENGE WILL BRING THE $$$$$$$

My husband plays here all the time. He likes it but he does say that the grounds need to be kept up better and the price for golfing is too high based on the condition of the course.

This is the only foot golf course in Georgia and it needs some work. The course is a perfect length but the grass for the golf course and foot golf course is terrible. Its full of weeds and dry. It was very hard to stop a soccer ball from rolling a long way in the dirt. The holes are also full of water getting your soccer ball all wet. Walk as a cart is not required. There is also only 9 holes. It was fun, but not worth the drive from Atlanta.

The views are fabulous, the course is well kept and the pro is great. It is my husbands favorite course.

Disappointed. This was a great golf course, but maintenance is going down. Greens were very well keep, but the fairways need some work. Obviously struggling for some cash in this economy. Take your Golf dollars to The Ridges in Hayesville, NC in my opinion. Great course, outstanding views, and fantastic value. Actually the County course, Butternut Creek, in Blairsville was in better shape this July. That said the best course in the area is The Ridges. Brasstown Valley is ok but charge tourist rates.

I'm not a golfer, but the new Community Center building there has an excellent restaurant--and I am an eater! Try it, I think you'll agree that the food is good, and the view even better.

Bring your big driver. Good spot very quiet. New course and the grass is getting better every year. I don't think a lot of people know about the course set so it is not very crowded. Shouldn't have any problems getting a tee time. Nice practice facility too.

There's some really nice golf courses in this area -- but this isn't one of them ... I understand links golf because we've played at Royal Troon and Turnberry -- but this course was a HUGE disappointment .... the grass was burned to the ground, you couldn't find a green (thank goodness for my skycaddie) and once you there, the hole was covered with dirt and debris... The upside was it has a nice parking lot.

Quaint perhaps, but it ain't all that! Wish you guys lots of luck, you're gonna need it, just another small time social club.

This is a very unique course for the area. Plenty of tee boxes for every level golfer. Very long course. I went with my family members, we are all different level players and the course had challenges for each of us. Except for 17 and 18 the course if mostly flat without much elevation change. We went in June and the course was in excellent shape. I would definitely recommend a trip to this course if you are visiting the area. Nice practice range with chipping greens and putting green.
