We used the Beech Bottom Trail to get to the falls - an 8 or 9 mile round trip hike. It was a relatively easy hike with a few stream crossings using rocks to get across. When you get to the bottom of the trail at the river, go right and follow the trail about 1/2 mile or so. It was not well marked to go right, so we got some extra hiking time going left (our hike was 10+ miles due to the wrong turn). After you go right, you will see some small falls/rapids and cross another creek and the large falls are a short distance away. The native plants along the trail were beautiful. It was a fairly long drive on forest roads (dirt) to get to the trail head. There are other ways to get to the falls, but they are longer and have several river crossings.
