A very professional staff and very knowledgeable. We were welcomed and all arrangements had been put in place. We were escorted graveside and a grounds keeper even dashed off with the flower urn and returned it,filled with water. I know that on subsequent visits that my family will, again,be treated with dignity and respect.

Both of my wife's parents are buried here. They take wonderful care of the grounds and are sure to take into considerations all those that visit here.

I had my father's ashes put here and could not be happier with the beautiful, peaceful scenery. I know I did the right thing, and it makes me happy that the people who work and volunteer here, love what they are doing, and go out of their way to make it special for your family!

The Georgia National Cemetary, located on Knox Bridge Hwy, is a beautiful place for our service men and women to be laid to rest. The place is very serene and the scenery is quite lovely. We visit there on Memorial Day and pay tribute to those who served and are no longer with us.

I happened to be driving this way and went to the cemetery. Everything was pristine and flags were everywhere. This sight overlooks Altoona lake is up on a hill. Directions are clearly marked. There are sights where in the fall you can see the lake and it is a very peaceful and serene spot. I love the section there where cremains are interred. Very beautiful. I will go again soon and pay my respects to the most valued of our country.

My mother is laid to rest here and that just makes me Happy. She never seen this place, but I think she would think it's just beautiful. There is also a Geocache outside the gate, dedicated to those that served. A must visit place.

I'm there several times a week with the Patriot Guard Riders. Beautifully kept cemetery that is well organized. On a mountain top with spectacular views. The volunteers at the Information Center are compassionate and informative. Can't imagine a better final resting place for our hero's.

Have visited the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA, several times, the latest in March 2014. Bottom line: as a Navy veteran of Vietnam, my wife and I intend to be buried there.

There are many things our government gets wrong but national cemeteries are one of things they get totally correct.

Very beautiful place. My dad has been here since November of 2009 and I couldn't have asked for a better place for him to be. The views are gorgeous and it is always very peaceful and relaxing there. I have even had a picnic there and it was great. If any of you have family members who request to be buried here, you will be very pleased with the upkeep of this very special place!

A friend and I decide to cut across country and avoid the interstate on a recent trip and stopped since it was just off the road we were on. My friend is a Vietnam vet and my father was career army and is buried in a national cemetery in SC. Although there were several services scheduled that day we stayed away from those out of respect and were able to wander through several areas. I noticed the short distance between headstones and was somewhat surprised by the number of cremains buried there. We also stopped by the columbarium. I do not recall seeing any casket sites although the informational brochure indicated that type interment is available. We were intrigued by the symbols appearing on the top of the headstones since there were several we were not familiar with. We later searched online and were surprised at the variety of symbols available.I recommend that everyone should visit a national cemetery to fully appreciate the sacrifices of so many as well as the recognition of how many have served and while not necessarily dying during their service add to the numbers interred.

It's a "new" cemetery and it is very well maintained. It's set back from the noise and hustle of everyday life. My wife's parents will be buried here.

This National Cemetery just a few miles off I-75 N between Cartersville and Canton, is laid out with an eye to the beauty of the N. GA rolling hills. There are buildings for memorials, funerals, and places to just sit and meditate if one has a need to do so. The entire cemetery is well-kept with quiet for contemplation, but surrounded by woods so that the calls of birds are all around. It is a place that any military service family would be proud to visit and to have their loved one placed. At various patriotic holidays, there are wreaths and flags placed to remember those who gave it all.

This is one of the newest National Cemeteries nationwide and the newest in Georgia. A lovely setting in the gateway to the north Ga. mountains. They keep the cemetery pristine and every ceremony is marked in tradition and reverence. A lovely area to drive through to pay your respects.
