Must see in person.Spectacular views.Short drive from Helen, GAOh, and the wine....Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!
What a great view from this North Georgia Vineyard. The owners were very friendly and even made a recommendation of a nice German restaurant (Bodensee Restaurant) we went to a loved it. We really enjoyed the baby doll wine; we visited 4 wineries in the same day during our 2 day visit to GA. The cottage Vineyard and Winery was by far the best one overall for us. The staff was very friendly and the owners talked about their wine and they really do care. We felt like they wanted our feedback. We had a yummy cheese tray that we both really enjoyed. We just didn't feel like number to the business we felt like valued customers. We will definitely be back for another visit. I highly recommend a visit here you won't want to leave. They have entertainment too.
This winery is a fairly recent addition to our area of vineyards and wineries. The view is absolutely stunning. The owners are very friendly, and clearly enjoy their winery and sharing information about wine and the vineyard itself. I took my out of town friends for a tasting party, and a good time was had by all. We each left with at least one bottle of local wine, and a couple of us also purchased some tee shirts and souvenir type items. If you would like to enjoy some cheese and crackers with your tasting that has to be arranged beforehand. I think a nice addition to this experience would be a cheese, cracker and fruit tray. The musician played a nice variety. I think in future years the tasting room will need to be expanded, as it can be bursting at the seams. The outside areas are most welcoming, but are not shaded, so on a hot summer day one would want to be inside. I did enjoy sampling the variety of wines, but personally I thought they were a little pricey. I think a visitor is paying for the setting and the experience rather than exceptional wines. We had a very pleasant time.
The last of 5 vinyards we visited on Saturday, we had to take the last spot in overflow parking lot. There was an acoustic guitarist/singer providing background, and the tasting room was bustling. We couldn't get a spot around the bar so did our tasting at a table. The wines were good, pretty much on a par with what we had tasted all day, and the service and information we received on the wines was good. As we watched customers come and go, it was apparent that many were return customers( we eventually gave up our table to a group waiting for their regular table). Would have stayed loger and relaxed, but was just too busy. I guess this is not a bad problem for the owners to have.
What a beautiful winery and setting for this North Georgia new gem. We were so impressed with the kindness of these owners, their knowledge, and generosity. We loved their delicious wines, and joined their wine club. We are looking forward to many more visits here.
Such a romantic place to sip on some pretty good wine. Enjoy live entertainment while listening to your well educated somelier explain the finer points.
My wife were in the area for Thanksgiving and already had on our minds that we were going to hit up a few wineries as there are many in the area.We just happened to drive by this place on the way to our cabin and saw that they were still open for tastings as it was kind of late. We planned on just going in grabbing some tastes and then leaving as we had already visited one vineyard that morning and already purchased a few bottles of wine.Well our plan of just dropping by turned quick. We were able to taste all the wines and enjoy them thoroughly. One of my favorite things about this place is that they owners have a story behind almost every single one of their wines. It helps you to fall in love with the wine. After the tasting we found a wine that my wife absolute loved and purchased it. The owner popped it open for us and we got to enjoy the AMAZING view and sunset. We ended up staying for almost 2.5 hours just talking to other wine goers and the owners. We ended up coming back two days later on Thanksgiving to pick up some more bottles of wine because their gate just happened to be open. We went right in and the owner remembered us got us some more of the beloved Golden Harvest and she invited us to stay around and have Thanksgiving with them. We had to pass as we had plans ourselves but she also invited us to come the next day for their ugly sweater party which we had to pass as well because we would be gone.If you do go here I definitely recommend planning a tasting then staying after to enjoy the view especially if you can time it around sunset. Also the wines were not overly priced as is around many other wineries. You can also bring a picnic or finger foods or cheeses for yourself to enjoy on their property.
Lovely mountain views. I'm a bit of a label/logo lover. Their labels are unique and have stories behind them. We met a few of the stories whose legs adorned these wine bottles! A great setting to sip and taste. Cheers! TheSocialSingle.com
The Cottage is a very good winery with the best wines in the area. Most are French-style (i.e., Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Chardonnay, Malbec) and are exceptional. The prices are higher than we are used to paying at home but the quality is excellent. The staff are knowledgable and very friendly.
This is a fun winery with super-nice staff! Loved the wine slushies! They have an outdoor seating area with beautiful views. Such an enjoyable experience! Looking forward to visiting again!
We went to this winery on a recommendation of a friend of ours, the view was amazing, but when we arrived they were preparing for a wedding so as we went into the tasting area there where tables, wedding cake, DJ with light setting up, then there was this pair singing which were great and they were getting the outside ready as well, Just to much going on to really relax and understand their wines. But as you look around you can see that they do not grow any of their own grapes at this time as they are young winery, but really they should have shut down the place as they do not have enough room to do both a wedding and a tasting. They are a very laid back group of people which is fine to a point, but a nice khakis shorts and a shirt with their name on it would give them the professionalism that they need, and really they should have explained where they get their grapes from and if they even produce it themselves. I think once they get bigger and plant more vineyards they will do well.
My husband and I love visiting this winery! We have been to most in the area and this is probably our favorite. The staff always make it a great experience! They are so welcoming! The views are amazing, such a peaceful setting! I highly recommend visiting and make sure to try a wine slushy!
The scenery is nice, the owners very congenial. This is an up and coming place - and they are very supportive of our troops. If you are up here anyway, stop in. Buy a bottle of wine. Play the guitar or piano they have in the lounge. HAVE A GOOD TIME. The owners are great people and you will be a better person for knowing them.
We stopped at this winery at the suggestion of another winery on our tour of the vineyards in and around Dahlonega, GA. Staff was very friendly and well-versed on their products which were all very good. The area is beautiful in the mountains.
My husband and I visited this winery and participated in a wine tasting. During the tasting, the owners continually sought our input and made suggestions for other selections that we might enjoy. They were totally committed to making sure that our experience was enjoyable and that we sampled wines that we would like. Their wines are quite good especially considering the short period of time that they have been open. The visit was definitely enhanced by the friendliness of the owners and the lovely location of this winery. They do host weddings and I am sure any bride would love this venue. We will definitely return to this fantastic winery!
