This place is so wonderful! I love how you get a beach feel even if it's not Florida :) It's a beautiful view and friendly people visit there! I recommend going on a warm afternoon to just swim and relax!

This park and beach is a hidden gem. We relaxed on the beach with a picnic lunch & enjoyed the view. It was quiet and clean.Very close to our hotel which made it even better!

New to the area and we had seen signage about the State Park and wanted to check it out. If seems to be a well kept park with the usual picnic tables and pavilions, we were walking along the lake watching the boats come into and leave from the boat ramps. Not too crowded, but it was November, a beautiful day in GA. When all of the sudden, we turned the corner to see a big white sandy beach! I am looking forward to seeing this place again in the spring!

The lake had sewage floating in it. The public toilets were an absolute disgrace, I mean very bad! It could be made into a lovely family site but I was totally put off by the conditions.
