Fun place to visit but a little pricey for a family. The haunted maze is a little scarey for my 8 yr old so beware. The hayride and bonfire are nice. I do go every October or November, it has become a family tradition. The lines in October are very long but they do move quickly.
We had a blast. What I loved most was that there was a theme to the maze and a sort of scavenger hunt. The pumpkins were a little pricey but overall the experience was great.
We knew that part of the $$$ was for a local theatre club or something so figured there would be some kids in it but not everyone. HORRIBLE. Kids just hanging out shooting air guns and revving up chainsaws with no chains. Then waited an hour to do the hayride and one of the tractors pulled away empty so we left. We have done the regular corn maze before and pretty good but the HAUNTED MAZE and HAY RIDE for $16 was TERRIBLE. DON'T DO THE HAUNTED MAZE.
Visited last October and planning to go again this fall. Reasonably priced for the great time. Had beautiful fall weathet and a great time with the family. All of the staff was very friendly.
My family and my spouse's cousins and their kids all went to uncle shucks. We even took our italian exchange student. She had never heard of a corn maze. We started out in the haunted maze which scared the kids out of their wits. My husband thought that was funny. Then we wandered thru the other 2 mazes . We then rode the best hayride of all the corn mazes we have visited so far. They even had goats on the roof.
Getting lost in the corn mazes at Uncle Shucks couldn't be anymore fun than it is!!! I love how they change the design of the maze every year. Finding the checkpoints is fun and very challenging.
went with church group very friendly groupof people
This is a fun corn maze and everyone lives the haunted maze at night.
Maybe I was expecting too much, but I was disappointed. It is basically a cornfield with a few tents set up. The cost was high- $12 for a walk through the corn maze and a hayride (that was with a Girl Scout discount). The corn maze was just okay, my 9- year old was over it less than halfway through. The hayride was awful-no views at all, just around the outside of the corn maze in the woods. The face painting was $4!! The corn cannon was another $1 and didn't work half the time. There were very few pumpkins to choose from and the food was ridiculously overpriced! $4 for a lemonade!! I would not make the trip back here again. I will stick with Burt's for a great hayride and beautiful pumpkins in the Fall.
Decided to stop here during stay at Amicalola Falls. This was an inexpensive and fun activity. My wife and I enjoyed it. And as an added bonus, we got some exercise from the walking!
It was so much fun and a good challenge. Well worth the money and is a great experience! If you go at night bring a flashlight!
Awesome place. We forgot flashlights, did half of it while it was getting dark. We did the other half in the dark with a cell phone for light. Made it really difficult but also more fun. Definitely worth the money.
I have previously reviewed Uncle Shucks but wanted to review again as we had another great experience two years later! We went at night this time to see the "haunted maze" and were so glad we did because it was awesome. The regular maze is shaped like a butterfly this year with two halves and outside the butterfly is a haunted maze. It was a few bucks more to do both, but way worth it. I would not recommend the haunted part for children with light hearts. Our 9 year old daughter almost had a panic attack when the chainsaw man chased her. If you like to be scared, check it out! The food was great as always and very reasonable. We got a hotdog, funnel cake, carmel apple, and two bottled sodas for $12. It was $15 each to do the regular maze (butterfly shape - 2 sides) as well as the haunted maze. BRING A FLASHLIGHT if you go at night. You can't use it in the haunted maze but you need one to do the regular maze. They rent them for $2 if you forget but you will need one. Pumpkins were great as usual, porter johns were clean and never a wait. The ticket lines were about 10 minutes long but it was a Saturday night and beautiful weather. Everything was awesome! Can't wait until next year.
Me and my husband and my two little boys who were two and five went to Uncle Shuck's last October. It was okay but I most definitely think this is for older children and adults mainly. It took us about an hour and a half or maybe close to two hours to go throw the whole corn maze and both of my kids were bored with it and ready to leave. Me and my husband were joking that you needed a GPS system to get through the maze. This is just my personal opinion of Uncle Shuck's.
Our family makes the short journey every year to Uncle Shucks Corn Maze! Our boys love getting lost in the maze and finding the check points to get their card stamped. Each year the maze is different and poses a challenge- even for the adults! This year we are going to try the haunted maze!
