If you like to be "up close and personal" with the performers, this is the place for you! Very relaxed, casual setting. This was our second time there and enjoyed both shows (we were visiting from St. Louis). The venue was pretty much the same both times, two acts that entertain throughout the evening, casually joking around with the audience throughout the show as though you were in their living room. Both times we were there the entertainment was Fantastic. It appears that a lot of the entertainers are from Nashville, and they can be found in the small lobby of the theater after the show chatting with people, posing for pictures, and selling their CD's. There is a small concession in the Lobby where you can get some refreshments, soda, water, wine etc. There were people of all ages attending, many in shorts and t-shirts. As I said, a very casual, comfortable, relaxed evening with great entertainment.

My wife and I and some friends attended the recent Jamie Laval performance at this theater. It was our first time there, and we noted some things that could have been done better. There are two, single-stall unisex bathrooms on the main floor. That wasn't really a problem for me, but at the intermission the lines were very long, and a lot of people in them looked worried, and uncomfortable. The other is the seats. The seats are the narrowest I have ever attempted to squeeze my but into - narrower than Tourist Class on the airlines. I know I could stand to lose a few pounds, but I'm not so chunky that theater seats are a problem.Other than that, the performance and the acoustics were quite good.

Eddie Owen is the maestro of this 260 seat music hall. He has brought in some amazing acts such as Shawn Mullings, Kim Richey, Holly WIlliams (grand-daughter of Hank WIlliams). Folk, alt, country and even the odd big band/jazz evening makes this a great place. Not a bad seat in the house, plenty of free parking, pretty affordable and some good eating choices nearby.Sound quality is beyond belief. If you haven't tried it, you are missing out on a great experience. I enjoy it so much I have begun volunteering as the staff is unpaid and just there to support Eddie and the music he brings to Gwinnett.

I went to see/hear Marshall Chapman and Will Kimbrough in concert. The venue is in old town Duluth. I knew that I would enjoy the concert, but I was surprised at the sound quality in a moderate venue. Crystal clear and no bad seats!

Theater seating and general admission tickets work out great here because I don't think you'd have a bad seat anywhere. So exciting to get this quality of music out in the 'burbs. It's a very casual atmosphere, the kind where you inevitably fall into conversation with people around you. Eddie, the people of Duluth, Johns Creek, Alpharetta are grateful for this fine addition to our community.

Well, I was hesitant to write a review because I want this venue to myself!! This is hands down the best live music venue I've been to. Fantastic talent all the time, what a fantastic ear Eddie Owen has for talented musicians. Add that in with the adorable downtown Duluth surroundings and you have a great night out all ready to go. Definitely a must see and do! Enjoy!!

I don't think there is a bad seat in the house - you can see the stage well from pretty much every seat. The sound quality is very good and the distance from the stage is just right. However, seating is just as intimate...very close quarters. They packed the small seats in tightly so there is very little are room between you and your neighbors. So if you don't like sitting elbow to elbow - you may not feel comfortable. Besides that it is quaint and allows the audience to watch the performer on a more personal level.

This is a great place to listen to singer-songwriter live music!! There is not a bad seat in the house. Everyone makes you feel welcome! We live 2.5 hours away and feel it worth the drive to see the live music. Eddie has a great lineup of artists! GO GO GO

Invited by friends to see Jennifer Daniels as part of the Eddie Owens Presents series at the Red Clay Theater, This was our first visit to the theater. Having been a patron of Eddie's Attic for many years I had a good idea the music that night would be exceptional (it was) and it would be a listening environment, The fact that the shows are held in a converted theater almost guarantee it, When you enter the Theater you are greeted by smiling faces, seats are comfortable, bathrooms are clean and the show is intimate with seating for only a couple of hundred. The Theater was 75% full the evening we attended. Soft drinks, water, coffee, beer and wine are available as well as EOP tee-shirts along with the performing artist's merchandise. Highly recommend a visit.

Eddie Owen (the namesake and original owner of the famous Eddie's Attic in Decatur) has brought high-quality entertainment to historic main street Duluth, Georgia in the form of a music hall designed specifically to be a high-quality listening environment to showcase up-and-coming new singer-songwriters. This is not a high-volume concert hall - the venue prefers acoustic acts and especially original artists. The seating is all theater-style and not night-clubbish. The acoustics are excellent, the sound system perfect for the size and objective of the events they host here. There is a bar in the lobby and you are welcome to order and enjoy beer, wine and soft drinks, as well as light snacks, but unlike Eddie's Attic, there is no menu, food service or wait staff. If you plan to attend an event, there are several excellent choices for food in close proximity - Pure Taqueria and Steverino's Pizza are next door and directly across the street, respectively. The Park Cafe is a block away. Also on main street are some charming shops and galleries with artists providing everything from stained glass to artisan baked goods. All this in the immediate proximity of the gorgeous greenspace and fountain that are centerpiece of the Duluth town center park. Park once, enjoy dinner at the Park Cafe, stroll through the highly photogenic park, browse through some of the unique and beautiful shops and top off the evening with a performance at the Red Clay Theatre & Arts Center. As a long time resident of the area, it is such a pleasure to have this treasure in our own back yard!

Lucky to have this in our area. Been about 4 times so far. Some were sold out, some lightly attended. Enjoyed it every time.

Run by Eddie of Eddie's Attic so you know the entertainment is top shelf.

Finally Duluth and Gwinnett have an outstanding venue dedicated to live music. The Red Clay is an intimate theater seating about 250 people so all of the seats are close to the stage giving it a very special feel. You can actually see and hear the performers. The sound system is great.Anyone familiar with the Atlanta Music Scene should be familiar with Eddie Owen. His contacts with performers, both local and national are exstensive and his ability to find and nurture new talent is legendary. You've got to give this place a shot

We are big fans of Eddie's Attic and Eddie Owen so we have been excited about this new venue. Several of our fav performers have already been there and we have had conflicts. Finally made it to Duluth to see Over The Rhine. Wow. Both for the Theatre and OTR. Worth the drive out of our hood to travel to Duluth. Sound and seating are awesome. Nice size audience. We will keep watching the schedule for repeat visits. So great to live in an area that supports such fine music. Love the free parking and the quaint downtown Duluth area.
