We just saw Les Miz at the Aurora - Wow ! The quality of the acting and singing was incredible. Especially from the men. I cant say enough about the actor that played Javert. There is a free parking garage and 3 or 4 good restaurants near by to choose from for a meal before or after.

Have been going there for several years, most recently saw Les Miserables. The show was very good. I am a patron of the theater and the majority of shows are very good, occasionally they have one that is a little funky, for lack of a better word. Regardless it is time well spent in an intimate atmosphere.

The cooperative effort between the Aurora Theatre and the city of Lawrenceville has resulted in a local performance jewel! Productions are highly professional events, and there are outreach programs for students to experience acting and playmaking. Ticket prices are a third of those in downtown Atlanta, even better through the season ticket option. Every season of the year brings a treat to this suburban town. We are very fortunate to have the Aurora in our back yard!

We have been to three productions at this cozy theater which bills itself as "Gwinett County's Only Professional Theater" and haven't been disappointed yet. We first went to "Mary Poppins" since my daughter's friend was in it and were awe struck. We live in Augusta which is a two hour drive away but we were so impressed with the quality of the production that we bought season tickets and have been back twice most recently to see "Les Miserables" (amazing). If you get a chance to see an Aurora production don't hesitate. The building, staff and, of course, the shows themselves are first tier.

We love the Aurora. We have been season ticket holders for at least 15 years! They always have the most entertaining and thought provoking performances. From drama to comedy to musicals, the Aurora is the place we go to have a great night out.

30 minutes away from downtown Atlanta, the Aurora Theater in Lawrenceville GA is absolutely remarkable. Don't ever think of it as a "Community theater." It hires many professionals and puts on absolutely amazing performances. The last two I saw were Mary Poppins and Les Miserables. The theater is small (200 to 300 seats maybe?; about 10 rows) so you can't have a bad seat. Treat yourself to a great evening out if you are in the Atlanta area and go see a musical at the Aurora.

We saw the Christmas Canteen show and were not disappointed. We expected a show of nothing but Christmas carols, but it was much more than singing Christmas songs. In addition to the singing, the show included funny skits and kept our attention throughout the evening. We are looking forward to seeing this show next year! We always enjoy the Aurora Theater because of the quality entertainment, convenience of free parking, and it only takes us 15 minutes to get home - what more could you ask for?

In the past 2 weeks my wife and I have seen "The Christmas Canteen" and "12 First Dates." Both shows 5 Star. We see the Christmas Canteen every year, and this was the best production yet. The talent is amazing and the script is very funny and non-stop. If you want to get in the Christmas spirit, this is a must see. The Aurora Theatre is a first class venue, all seats are great, and the staff is always enthusiastic and helpful. We also saw 12 First Dates, and it is spellbinding. It is a one woman show, but she makes it seem like there is a much larger cast. How she can remember all her lines and recite them, especially while she is constantly moving is beyond me. We also highly recommend this show. In all fairness, we are season ticket holders and enjoy all the shows, but these two are special. The Christmas Canteen is appropriate for all ages, and we saw quite a few youngsters enjoying the show. 12 First Dates is more appropriate for those 17 and older, primarily because anyone younger would not likely understand all the humor.

One can always count on an excellent theatrical performance at the Aurora. I have been a season ticket holder for many years and haven't seen a bad performance yet. Of course, I enjoy some more than others, but that is a matter of personal taste. Last year's production of "Les Miserables" was superb. Les Miz is my favorite play, and I have seen it many times, including several times in London. The Aurora's version was totally respectable when compared to the London production. The facility is superb; there isn't a bad seat in the house. And don't forget the free parking. If you love live theater, get yourself a season ticket. Or just go to see whatever appeals to you. Either way, you are sure to be entertained.

We have been to several shows at the Aurora and all have been excellent. The house is not large, so you are close to the actors and the action. This is also just a block off of the square in Lawrenceville, so makes a great date night. Dinner is available at a variety of good restaurants around the square and then take in the show, all with free parking in the city parking deck.

We have been season ticket holders for many years. The productions have consistently been excellent. The programs they have for adults and children are great and all the other things they do in the community make this Theater something special. They also have a small theater with seating for about 50. Because this theater is small it feels as though you are part of the play. Really enjoy having so much talent so close to home. Highly encourage anyone that enjoys live theater to attend and support the Aurora Theatre.

Driving Miss Daisy at the Aurora Theatre was a top notch show. We had front row seats in the small studio theatre and were completely swept up in the story. Acting was very professional (equity actors), set and lighting very well done, costumes fitting to the changing decades. We will definitely return to the Aurora. Oh, yes - free parking!

Took our 4 year old granddaughter, we all loved it! It was a bit long for her, but she was so enthralled! We will certainly be back for any more Disney type plays. Also love the Henry Cho comedy show!
