We went for my b'day last week. My first time zip lining my husbands second.Such a truly fun time! The guides are so helpful & really make the experience even more fun! Personally think this was a great place for beginners but the pros that were in our group with us also had a blast. Not a crazy amount of hiking or climbing. All allowed ages & fitness level would be comfortable. This was a start of a new addiction! I can't wait to go back!!Highly recommend!
I've been wanting to zip line for several years, my husband booked this surprise trip for Valentine's Day!!! We live over 200 miles away, and it was well worth the drive!!! The property is gorgeous, the staff is phenomenal, and the zip lines are CRAZY FUN!!! Our guides (Craig and Derrick) were extremely knowledgeable, and they kept us laughing the entire trip. We will definitely be going back......next time we will be bringing all our friends, and hopefully we'll get to stay in one of the teepees!!!
This was my first time with a zip line and I cannot say enough wonderful things about this place. Our guides were extremely knowledgeable and were vigilant about safety. I definitely recommend this place! Can't wait to go back.
My husband and I went yesterday for the first time and had a blast. It was very cold so it was just us touring that morning, but our guides, Craig and Dave, were so fun and kept us entertained while doing the zip lines. I will most definitely be going back this summer because it was so fun and I would like to do it when all of the leaves are in bloom and bring my family.
This was a great experience, and the perfect way to start getting over a fear of heights. I felt safe the whole time and we were in great hands with our guides. The zips vary in length and speed, and at certain times of year you can even see rare flowers in the forest as you zip by. There is some hiking involved, but you get water breaks along the way. You'll learn about Georgia's ecology and history as well. Worth every penny!
For my birthday, found this on groupon for half off and I'm glad we had. This was a great time with really nice tour guides(kraig and denny I think) and cool views. Felt safe throughout and enjoyed not only the ziplining but the hiking and the cornhole game available before. Thanks for making my birthday a really good one!
This is a great zipline tour. Our tour guides(Ben & Amber) were awesome! They keep you laughing. I am a little skittish of heights, but no worries with this tour. Even thought our guides were tons of fun, they were also very professional and all about safety.
We found out about North Georgia Canopy Tours on TripAdvisor and after looking through all of the awesome reviews we knew zip lining was something we had to do before heading home! All of the employees at NGCT were friendly and informative from the time we booked our reservation to the moment we left. We arrived 30 minutes early which gave us time to play cornhole, grab a quick snack and check out the pictures/videos of people zip lining there. The guides bring a camera along and will take pictures for you (feel free to ask them to take as many as you want) when you finish you get to review your photos and have the option to purchase the flash drive for $40. You can also rent a GoPro for $30 or bring your own to strap on your helmet and record your zip lining adventures! Our group of 16 (ranging in age from 10 - 44) was split into two groups of 8 - the first group went at 11 and the second group went at 11:30. Each group has two guides at all times - we had Kyle and Jenna who kept us laughing the whole afternoon! Once you finish ground school (getting your gear on, short information session and practice zip) you're ready to go! Kyle and Jenna were patient and encouraging the whole time. One member of another group dropped their iPhone off the sky bridge and two of the employees went above and beyond to find it for him. We chose the package with 13 zip lines, 2 sky bridges and a repel. I can't begin to tell you what an amazing experience it was. Thank you North Georgia Canopy Tours - we can't wait to come back next summer!
Just returned from a trip to North Ga Canopy tours. There were 3 adults (2 of whom were afraid of heights) and 1 child (fearless 10 year old). We'd had the trip scheduled for quite some time but apparently Mother Nature did not receive the message. We arrived early for our 12 noon adventure. The rains were heavy to say the least. The welcome center proved an adequate space to watch videos of the activity, place fooseball and snack a bit. Our time finally arrived and we were greeted by our tour guides Dave and Danny. Though they were both very funny, they were professional and very thorough when it came to the tasks at hand. We completed our check out and headed to the first of many zips. With a familiar call from the lead guide, we set out on our first exhilarating "zip zip". After about 3 hours (we chose the adventure level), we'd successfully completed two sky bridges, three nature walks, the fastest zips on the course, zips over three ponds, two zips over the North Oconee River, and a rappel(yes, we all did this!!). The finale is particularly fun - a 695-foot dual zip over the Hilltop Pond in front of the Observation Deck. Race the partner of your choice. With certificate in hand, we all left feeling challenged and accomplished!!
The reviewer was kind enough to mention the mouse droppings at check-out and we immediately called the exterminator we have on monthly retainer. We provide our guests with the phone number for a manager who can come to the premises in short order if there is a need of any kind. When we learned after the guest checked-out via email of “the man up by our car,” we inquired further but were unable to obtain any identifying information and believe the man to have been another camping guest. If our guests are ever concerned about their safety we urge them to contact the manager on-call or dial 911.We clean our bathrooms and empty trash daily (there is a garbage can in each restroom and in each teepee though we do not keep one outside where it might attract creatures). Our bathrooms are lighted and will attract a number of bugs at night when the lights are left on (we keep the outside light on and have a timer for inside lights so they will shut off after the designated time). Our teepees are not designed to be airtight (in fact air flow is an important component of teepee design) though the wooden floors we installed this year and the wooden “molding” we installed around the base to assist in holding the air conditioned air in the teepee have greatly reduced ingress and regress points. The “trash pile of black plastic” mentioned by the reviewer is silt fencing. We have reviewed other comments by this reviewer and believe that her comments were sincere. We take all comments to heart in an effort to improve the experience of our future guests. We do caution everyone that, even though our teepees are air conditioned, furnished, and you are provided with clean sheets, towels, and wash cloths, it is camping and you are “out in mother nature.” If the sight of bugs, other campers, and the fact that the teepees are not airtight will keep you from sleeping at night, this may not be the experience for you.
This was one of the most fun experiences. I took my girlfriends one day as a surprise to both. None of us had ziplined before. The guides were patient and took their time showing us each HOW to zipline safely. While the three of us were somewhat challenged with heights - it was so comfortable none of us really had any issues while zipping through the canopy of trees nor repelling down. This is a fun activity for people of all ages (age/weight minimum for children).
Had a great time. The guides Jay & Jess did a great job, everything was well organized. We will surely be back
Our group was very impressed with the staff and facilities at North Georgia Canopy Tours. We had a great time. We would definitely recommend this company to others!
We had a great time at North Georgia Canopy Tours! We did the Sky Bridge Tour ($69 per person) which included 9 zips and 2 sky bridges. We had 8 people plus our 2 guides, Kyle and Zach. These 2 guys were lots of fun and very informative and helpful! Each zip line was different in its own way and ended with a dual zip over the lake where you could race a partner. The entire tour took about 2 hours. The Command Center sells items like snacks, drinks, Frisbees, t-shirts, etc. Clean bathrooms, friendly staff, corn hole available while you wait. We hope to take our boys back and zip as a family!
Took my family on a tour to this zip-line facility. Great people, great time had by all. Took the three hour tour with 12 ziplines, two rope bridges and one rappel from the treetops. Fun for all!
