Drove down to Daredevilziplines from Cleveland, TN for my husband's birthday today. We purchased a Groupon for the zipling/obstacle course. I had never been ziplining and am not such a fan of hights. WE HAD A GREAT TIME! They pride themselves on the speed of their ziplines not the height. Steve and Elli were our guides and they were helpful, funny, and great. To respond to some of the other comments and reviewers...yes, you clip yourself on the lines, but they are there to help and there is a training session at the beginning. Yes, it's in the country and this is a "country" zipline. And yes, the office is in a small shed-like building. ..who cares! You are only in the building long enough to to sign in.Overall I would recommend this business and plan on going back myself in the summer when we can participate in the Z Hawk and blob courses!

Customers Reviews allow us to make improvements where needed and answer unwarranted criticism honestly. The Zipline office you visited is merely a satellite office of our bigger operation, Belle Terra, LLC. We Have restroom facilities available at our main office, but we provide porta-potties in the Zipline field. We will speak to the agency that is responsible for the maintenance of those 5 units, to let them know of your dissatisfaction with the cleanliness. Safety is, of course our primary concern. Our lines are inspected everyday and conform to industry standards. The lines have a weight limit of 14,400 pounds; and consist of over 100 individual wires so you are fully protected on them. All of our other systems have at least one back up system included which exceeds industry standards. our safety record is excellent. We have literally thousands of very satisfied customers. With over 30 lines and 7 Thrill rides, we are one of the largest Zipline operations in the state. We are in the "woods" where it makes sense to have Ziplines.

I bought a Groupon for 30 minutes of zipping but that is very misleading! You only go down 2 zips for the dare ya ziplining then they try to up sell you to the obstacle course. If you are driving from the Atlanta area like I did. It is not worth the time or money!

We had never ziplined before and this was an excellent first experience. The guides were very friendly and supportive and were not cavalier about our concerns. They taught us everything we needed to know and continued to remind and assist as needed. Our only regret is that we did not get the helmet cams. Video of our experience would be awesome. The ziplines are not real high off of the ground, and this is an asset to people who are not experts at the sport.

We were greeted by a group of Stevi, who made our visit much fun. They have someSexy thighs. The obstacles and zip lines were really fun. We didn't encounter any problems. The platforms were perfectly safe. Our children aren't stupid, so they were able to clip themselves into the eyelets with no problem.

The website says up to 250 pounds but I'm 6 ft tall and 170 lbs -- I'm not fat, just tall -- and some of the platforms were hard to reach because the lines sagged so much from my weight. A friend of mine did the water zipline and she was dragged through the water instead of just "reaching down and touching the water." The ziplines just do not hold the weight that they advertise. There are only 2 long zips - which were awesome - but the rest are pretty short and none of them are very high off the ground so the overall experience was lacking. On the plus side, the guides were delightful.

Right off the bat, I'll explain my that the only thing that allowed me to rate it as Average is because all the employees were very very friendly. I have no idea why the other reviewers had issues because they were all very nice and helpful. There were other issues tho. They had signs saying if you were more than 20 minutes late for your appointment, you had to wait and fit in whenever. A group came in an hour late and screwed everything up, they didnt turn them away making us sit in a tent for over an hour waiting. It normally takes 90 minutes to run the course , we were there for 210 minutes trying to finish due to disorganization. Now, all the helments were dirty banged up, mismatched, looked like they came from yard sales. Almost half the ziplines were loose, sagged or were attached to very small flimsy trees. All the platforms were half built and wobbly as hell. If youre afraid of heights, you will love this place. If you love speed and youre a daredevil, this course may seem boring to you. Keep an eye on your kids because you are responsible for attaching yourself. They show you how but kids still may screw up. Be prepared to vomit from the smell if you use the port a potty so if youre going here, I'd advise skipping the coffee or beer before you show up.

I have never been zip lining so I wasn't sure what to expect. The property is beautiful and well kept. They offer discounts on groups. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. They educated us fully. They took time with my family and made our experience so incredible that my son is wanting to have his birthday party there, which they happen to provide. Overall, we could not be more pleased and look fwd to our next trip.

Lisa, I check different sights for their reviews and I am going to have to disagree with your analysis of this attraction. Granted I wasn't there when you were, but when we were there, all the staff were friendly and ready to help and always at our side (my family's) and I to make sure we were safe. Everyone was super friendly and very helpful. What you describe here as a review was 180 degrees from our experience. I say that to say this, Daredevil Ziplines was an awesome place for my family and I, and it is very hard to imagine that big of a difference between our experiences. Like I said before, the staff was super friendly and ready to help and someone was with us at all times. So, I would still consider this a great spot to bring friends and/or family and recommend it as well.

When we arrived, we were told to each get a helmet (one size does NOT fit all). They helped us into the harnesses and then moved us to the training area to demonstrate how to hook the trolleys and carabiners. We did not realize that later we would be responsible for doing this on our own without being double checked. The employees were arguing (in front of us), clearly no one wanted to lead our group. In fact, one guide was even on her cell phone during the run. I had a group of 5 but when others joined there ended up being about 13 so they had to rustle up another unhappy employee who was not interested in helping. We did our first "training" zip run which took almost 30 minutes because this was such a large group. Next was the "obstacle" course. The standing platforms were exceptionally small. The guide was equally annoyed that it was such a big group. Not sure what happened to guide #2. A guide hooked us but there was no one to lead the group to show us how the course should be navigated. At this point 2 guests left. After the obstacle course we had a few short zips then led to a series of "higher" zips. Apparently the higher zips are expected to be done on your own. This starts over the obstacle bridge then you step up to a higher level - on a tiny step with a tiny platform barely big enough for more than one person. This would require me, 5ft tall, to unattach myself from the lower line and rehook to a line over my head without a guide (ours was standing on the ground). Our entire group was uncomfortable. Additionally there was not a guide on the far side of the zip to "catch" us from slamming into the tree. We asked for another guide to come up and supervise. The only guide, who was on the ground, said we were safe. My husband (a science teacher - always saying safety 1st) said "your kidding, right - you really think this is safe?" and the guide ON THE GROUND said "yes". My husband refused to to take our group any further until we got additional guides to come up into the trees to assist. Once again, we had to listen to employees argue over who would have to help, with one employee saying he would just to go home. I have read the responses from the owner defending this set up being part of the challenge, but I hardly think that letting novices be responsible for their own safety by correctly connecting themselves to the cable without being double checked is acceptable in any situation. Had we known that this would have been the case, we would not have chosen this type of activity that included a 14 yr old. The runs are short. Two in our group hit a tree at the landing, several hit a plastic ladder placed at the end of one run. Having been zip-lining at several other facilities I can tell you this suffers by comparison not only from a safety, but an enjoyment factor. Before we left, our group had the opportunity to speak with the owner and express our grievances. He was apologetic acknowledging that he had recently heard similar complaints.

This was my family's first time zip-lining and we had a blast! We drove from Memphis, TN after a friend from high school recommended Daredevil. Our guides (Chris, Jason and Stevie) were awesome! They were friendly and made us feel welcome and made sure we felt safe. The Z-HAWK is the best one!! They also told us they were adding new things and putting a Blob in the lake soon!!!! We also learned a little history about the area as well! I would recommend this place to anyone! We already have plans to return this summer!! It was well worth the drive!!

I really enjoyed my trip into north Georgia to experience Daredevil Zip-lines. I rode the new Z-hawk zip-line and thoroughly enjoyed myself. My wife had a great time too. She is normally skid-dish about such things, but the sturdiness, and intricate craftsmanship of the obstacle courses, combined with state of the art safety equipment satisfied her concerns. Within minutes she was ready to experience a thrilling day at Daredevil Zip-lines. As a firefighter, I am well acquainted with safety harness and equipment, Daredevil uses both PMI and Petzl gear, which is considered the top of the heap in rescue equipment. The harnesses were comfortable too and I felt very safe as I zoomed from obstacle to obstacle. We both enjoyed being surrounded by a beautiful lake and the serenity of nature on a beautiful spring day .Before we left I spoke to the owners and they told me that they will be expanding the zip-lines to have more exciting rides in the future. Afterwards, we drove to nearby Rome and had a nice meal downtown. It was a wedding anniversary that we will never forget. I felt like I got plenty of bang for my buck. I will definitely be back to ride the zip-lines again and next time I will bring my three boys.

This is a good place for a first timer or a family. We had a birthday party with 12 year olds, and that was perfect. The course is short and while not challenging, certainly fun. There is a do-it-yourself element that I have not seen before in a zip & obstacle course. This more like a ropes course really. Since you only go to a height about half of tree level, I believe the danger is minimized. What is improtant? The kids LOVED it. SInce our kids were experienced, they love dthat hte staff was so friendly and hands off. I suggest if you are nervous to let them know to pay extra attention to you.We also did the upgrade fast zip over the lake. That was as good as any zipline I have seen, super fun, and I was able to dip my hand into the water. Again, danger is minimized since you are flying over a lake. This a grassroots, local operation. Family owned and run. We had a great time!

Even though I read the reviews I continued to go on the adventure to Daredevil because it was more good reviews than bad and also because I didn't want to be the Debbie downer of the date. Every last one of the bad reviews are accurate! I am surprised this place has not been shut down by a code enforcer (must not have been reported yet). Daredevil is very unsafe and not fun. They do not have proper safety helmets for all ages. The zip line course appears to be poorly designed and not stable. It is a matter of time before the plywood will cave in. There is not enough staff to supervise customers on the course. They do NOT pay attention to see if you are securely attached. I had to ask for someone to double check my harness/trolley on every glide. One employee said, "I'm glad you said something cuz that wasn't right." The courses are too short. You spend more time hooking up than you do enjoying a ride. The employees pull on the zip line with all their weight to help you get to the other side. You do not go 30 or 50 mph. Also, the port-a-potty is disgusting! I don't think anyone returns to this place after there first visit. They must make their money from first time customers. I hate to give a terrible review but I must share my honest opinion. Despite how horrible Daredevil was I enjoyed the time spent with my date, it became the center of our jokes that we shared later with our friends. I can sum it up and say this was a hillbilly contraption. Instead of trying to comment on each review they should use these reviews for ways to improve. It is a nice piece of land that has the potential to be a nice attraction if it was professionally designed/engineered.

My husband and I went on a date here and truly enjoyed our visit. My husband, the adventurous one, immediately upgraded to the Dare Ya but I wanted to sit it out. However, because of the patience and kindness shown by Stevie and Chris, even I built up the confidence to do it and had a BLAST! As everyone has said their employees are their biggest asset. I can see where those more experienced may not be challenged currently but they have so many plans in the works so I say give them a month and check them out. I look forward to enjoying their current amenities and seeing what else they have in store in the very near future. Many thanks to Stevie, Chris and Justin for a memorable experience. Highly recommended and will return.
