We had heard about Sweet Grass Dairy Marketplace from friends as well as in the paper. We stopped by for a mid-week lunch while exploring Thomasville. Definitely a good choice. We enjoyed a four cheese cheese board (sorry, can't remember its name). Paired it with some bubbles and a shared entrée salad. Fantastic light lunch for two.

Everytime I go to Thomasville I try to eat there...the goat cheese are to die for and love sampling the wines, cheeses, meats and preserves on their sampler platter.

I gave my sister the day long cheese making class at Sweet Grass Dairy for her birthday. What a disappointment. The "instructor" was obviously worn out/bored, no enthusiasm (but lots of ego), poor hospitality (no coffee or snack for early arrival and no mid-day refreshment for all day "seminar")...the worst was the cheese tasting at the end...cheese was put out with no labels or tasting notes or comments. No "guided tasting" at all...we "tasted" while instructor played with iphone! For the amount of money, a real rip off! When I mentioned our dissatisfaction in e-mail, no one cared enough to follow up to asking for specifics.

Something for everyone (even the pickiest of eaters) can find something tastyThe staff is so nice and knowledgeable about the many different types of cheeses and all of their wonderfully unusual products . It's my go to place for the extra special Christmas present *they ship everywhere :)

We were visiting Thomasville to participate in the cheese making course that Sweet Grass Dairy offers out at their original location. We stopped in for a light lunch, which was great. They were featuring a selection of imported Spanish cheese, in addition to their own and other American products. Great range of cheese (hard to soft; cow – sheep- goat; blue and plain) to choose from. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff members, who are more than willing to let you have a nibble to make up your mind what to buy. They are planning on opening a restaurant up the street (South Broad), which should help with managing the evening crowds.

They have a great selection of home made cheeses and imported varieties also. Great place to taste and relax.

We had a pre-dinner appetizer of a cheese platter and wine and beer. It was absolutely perfect and I could go there every day. I wanted to go back for a light dinner the next day (Saturday) but the place was mobbed. For good reason.

Anytime I am near Thomasville, I must make a stop at the Sweet Grass Dairy Marketplace. We love their Georgia Gouda, Thomasville Tomme and award winning Green Hill. The Marketplace also has other yummy products to try.

If you enjoy good wine and great cheese, if trying something new and surprisingly inviting has appeal, I think you will find this little place a delight. We stopped in around lunch time to buy some cheese and decided to stay for a glass of wine and sumptuous cheese board and a large shared salad. The selection of wine by the glass, both red and white, change daily and tastting prior to purchase is encouraged. The young people who work there are helpful, gracious and fun. Good music in the background, comfortable seating and ambiance all combine to make ithis a most pleasant experience. We liked it so much we came back for another leisurely lunch the following day and will count it as a 'must do' next time we are near T'ville.

As a local, I want to tell everyone visiting Thomasville to stop by Sweet Grass downtown. On Saturdays, they frequently have wine tastings or other events. They have wine and cheese or beer and cheese tastings once a month, which are lots of fun. And their wine and cheese list each night is the best in town! It is not terribly expensive either. Wear jeans and a t-shirt or dress up, it doesn't matter!

I was pleasantly surprised to discover that Sweetgrass has opened store downtown. Not only can you purchase quality cheeses, meats, wine, etc; you know can have a glass of wine, a cheese/meat plate and/or a sandwich. The menu is AMAZING! Don't miss out on this gem!

My wife and I were in Thomasville GA for a weekend and were fortunate to find this gem of a shop on Broad Street. They offer a nice selection of really tasty cheeses, meats, beers, and wines. You can sip and nibble or get sampling boards and flights. Most of the cheeses are from their local dairy and are quite good. We were fortunate enough to sign up for their cheese making class at the farm and were able to have a hands-on experience making our own rounds of cheese while learning a LOT about the cheese making process. One tip worth passing along - if you're planning to have dinner at a particular restaurant in town (featuring seafood and grits in the name) you might want to stop in to the cheese shop for an appetizer and before-dinner beverage. The restaurant does not serve alcohol. I wish our visit was longer so we could return to the cheese shop for additional nibbles!

My wife and I traveled to Thomasville from Savannah for cheese and we were not disappointed. A new shop downtown on Main Street which was easy to find. Great cheese. The employees were knowledgeable about the cheese and the area giving us ideas on places for lunch. We were disappointed that most restaurants stop serving lunch at 2PM. We got there late but had a good meal across the street at Savannah Moon Bakery.
