You can't go wrong with a thrift outlet store. Nothing is ever over $2 here. The store is orderly. I only wish that larger sizes were separate, but what do you expect for the cheap prices. I managed to get a purse, a shirt and my husband a pair of shorts. I am ready for my next visit.
I have found some amazing deals here. I bought an end table for $7, a Land's End rain jacket for $3, books, toys! Wednesday is Senior day and you get 50% off, but you have to really check your colors, they exclude certain colors, often the ones you have in your hand! I find the one on Bells Ferry & 92 is better than the one on Hwy 5.
My daughter and I have made many trips to Park Avenue Thrift. Often, you can find amazing buys, but occasionally you will get something home only to discover that it has a rip or tear that is unfixable, land you have lost money, because the store doesn't allow for returns. They lack in quality control.
First let me say that was my first shopping here. Heard about this store from a group I'm in from many people. The only location tat's coming up on Tripadvisor is the one in Woodstock. I went to the Duluth and Marietta location yesterday. The Duluth location is huge. The Marietta location is on a smaller scale. I don't like how they have the shoes displayed on top of the aisle rack. You have to literally go down every aisle to peruse shoes. Goodwill has me spoiled because they separate plus size clothing and label the area. These were not displayed as such. It was a cat and mouse game to locate stuff but I found 4 shirts in one strode and 2 in another for $28 & that's a steal for me. If you're in the area, definitely check them out.
Park Avenue Thrift OUTLET at Hwy 92 intersects Hwy 5, on Hwy 5 one block South. All items in store $2 every Friday begins the new week, with successive days dropping 25¢ until 25¢ Thursdays. Drawback: wear leggings/skirt/tank top to try on clothes, because no dressing room. Revive and Goodwill very near, in order to keep shopping simpler than more mileage on the auto. Fun, fun, fun!
