Great place to take pictures and look at water features. Many historic houses in the area. within walking distance of other places of interest.

Worth a stop if you are in the area. It is a small park, but tells the story of the area, the river, industry, etc. It is across the street from the Coca Cola Space Museum which is accessable via the Riverwalk, so it is worth a stop if you are strolling along. Parking is tight in that area, you may want to park at the hotel next door.

We saw this area on our historic bike tour (found on Trip Advisor) with Dr. G, a history professor, and he made it way more interesting. He explained what the statues meant and even knows the man who created them. The water way signifies the Chattahoochee, including the Piedmont plateau. We then explored the historic homes district and again, learned so much from our guide. Such a fun experience!

The Heritage Corner is just a tranquil park on the corner of Broadway and 7th. It is in a location that has seen a lot of renovation to the downtown area. I enjoyed the park and there are a few odds and ends that highlight the history of the area including a brick kiln, a turbine generator from the dam and some nice statues and sculptures. The water feature in the middle of the park is a dam and is also nice. Around Heritage corner are some of Columbus' most famous and oldest houses. The Pemberton house(founder of Coca-Cola) is one of them. I enjoyed walking through the neighborhood and viewing the houses as much as the park itself. There are plaques and historical markers to highlight what you are seeing.

This one square block in Columbus showcases the history of the city. Both textile making and iron works dominated in this area. The park really is a must for history buffs. Just a short walk from the Visitor Center.

I prowl Uptown Columbus with animal grace at least 5 days a week. And I frequently end up in this area. Everything in this park assaults the senses with crazy-to-look at delights. I don't know what the beehive thing is. A kiln? A bread oven? Clay igloo. No clue. I don't read the signs- Sometimes you just have to appreciate things for what they are. Same goes for the machines- Don't know, don't care. They're things of beauty. One fun fact though. Those familiar with the terms "balls out" or "balls to the wall" will want to inspect these mystery machines closely. Those round, metal things, or "balls" are part of a governor system that kept machines from self-destructing. See, it has nothing whatsoever to do with German leather-metal band Accept.

The area is filled with historic houses. The street is a nice enough area to take a leisurely stroll around. The houses are not as nice as some of the historic downtown areas in other southern cities. Definitely worth a look if you are in the area.

Beautiful little park. Tons of historical information and beautiful waterfall. Learning the history of the masonry was a great experience.

Some of the earliest houses built in Columbus. Inexpensive tour that includes the house where James Pemberton invented the formula for Coca-Cola.

First and most importantly it's free to walk around! The area has an interesting history and worth exploring for a few hours especially on a nice day!

Lovely grounds around the waterfall and the exhibits about the history of the area. The architecture of the historic homes are beautiful. Beautiful well kept park and grounds.

Broadway in the historic district is a nice drive down a tree-lined parkway, but nothing special. However, there is a nice Heritage Park with wonderful waterfalls, fun for the kids to explore.

lots of history and very pretty, good for a short visit, but it won't take too long, and don't go if the weather is bad!
