The museum had only 2 costumes from the movie and no props. Mostly it was an exhibit of GWTW books and posters written in different languages. The gift shop had nothing affordable and few things actually for purchase. Spent about 15 min in it and left disappointed.

My husband has to watch Gone With the Wind when he sees that it is on tv.... this museum gave him a lot to enjoy!!

We recently visited while on a family vacation. While I am familiar with the film, I wasn't sure if I would enjoy a museum dedicated to it. We were all blown away! We learned more about the film and behind the scenes details than we ever expected. Highly recommended!

I recently travelled to Marietta Georgia and came across the most fascinating museum in downtown Marietta - the Gone With The Wind Museum on Scarlett on the Square. I've seen the movie GWTW a few times and thought I'd drop in to check it out. I was absolutely blown away by the collection of artifacts from the movie and from memorabilia collected by Dr. Christopher Sullivan. This is a must see whether you are a hard core Windy fan or just interested in historical artifacts.

If you are a hard-core Gone with the Wind fan, this museum is for you!. Here's the key...to get the most of your visit, plan to do the narrated tour. There is SO MUCH interesting history behind the author and the movie that you will never find out unless you tour the museum with one of the very knowledgeable staff. Without that, it is just a big collection of books, clothing and artifacts that, unless you take the time to read everything on display, you would not be overly impressed.

I went with a group of girls at the end of the day so we didn't spend as much time as I would've liked. Being a great fan of the book & movie, I will definitely go back!

The museum has a lot of original articles from the movie and my wife and i really enjoyed seeing them.

Very small museum, mainly posters and books in different languages, we were in and out in 15 min.Only if you are a huge fan and any small place will trill you.

If you liked the movie Gone With the Wind, you will like this museum. Lots of interesting items in this vast collection of book and movie memorabilia. We spent the better part of two hours roaming around and probably missed a lot. A nice little gift shop as well.

The town is so nice and fun. The museum was very informative and saw things I didn't expect to see. Would love to visit the town again with more time.

This museum has been created from a collection of artifacts that belonged to one individual. I am sure they have added to it over the years. But I felt like I was looking at stuff at a yard sale. The collection consists largely of books, in various languages, newspaper articles, billboards, with a few telegraphs, replica outfits and yes there is one original dress worn by Scarlet that is magnificent. There are typed descriptions of some of the artifacts to explain them more thoroughly, but I have to say that I came away without learning a whole lot. The museum is housed in a historic building next to the train track and Mariietta Museum, so there are other things to see while here. I found the museum a bit dark and so if you need glasses, be sure to bring them. I would say that if you are a big fan you may really like this museum, as other guests truly have expressed, but for me it seemed a bit of a work in progress and I felt. That said the town is charming and if you are visiting, this is one of the attractions to see. Fee is $7.

The Gone With the Wind museum is a great place to take visitors to Marietta. Get a great bite to eat on the Square, shop the unique gift and antique shops, relax by the fountain and visit the Gone with the Wind museum. Fun to see the memorabilia from the movie.... original playbills (different ones reflecting the racism in Atlanta at that time), original pictures and costumes... I liked reading about what the actors did after the movie. Very interesting!

The Gone With the Wind museum is fabulous. This is a collection of memorabilia owned by Dr. Chris Sullivan and contains the bengaline gown worn by Vivien Leigh in the honeymoon scene. The museum has a vast amount of items including posters from various countries, a signed book by Margaret Mitchell and other cast members, foreign editions of the book, a script owned by Ona Munson who played Belle Watling in the film, the lovely heart charm necklace worn by Ann Rutherford in the film, and much more. The museum is devoted to both the book and film and is a must for any fan. It is amazing to see the number of collectibles spawned by this film. There is a small gift shop that has several books related to the film, book, or its cast as well as collectibles. The annual event the museum holds to commemorate the film is always well done. Highly recommended.

Connie and her staff are wonderful. We certainly enjoyed the event they put on this past week....the 75th anniversary of GWTW. The museum has so many wonderful items to see from Chris Sullivan. And if you're in need of a "goodie" to add to your collection....they have that too! Need a costume for GWTW for the Ball? They have it...rent or purchase.

This was a nice attraction. The price was low and they had some unique items. You have to be a fan of the movie to appreciate the items. We went on the return trip from Charleston. My wife had wanted to visit it when we were in the area, so we vame home via Marietta. We are glad we did.
