EVERYTHING you could possibly need is in Marietta Square: dining, shopping, yoga class, ballet class, musicals and play at the Strand theatre, cupcakes or ice cream, tattoos, pottery painting, weekly farmers market, seasonal festival, annual Heart Walk, holiday parades, coffee, playground, courtyard and fountain with benches, haircuts, church, court and more!!!It's a great, community supported destination for people of all ages. If you're in the Marietta area, you've got to stop by and talk a stroll through the square.
So many charming shops and restaurants. Excellent farmers Market and concerts in the square. Has a homey feel while also being contemporary.
We ate dinner at the "Chicken and the Egg" before the play. Surprisingly, the restaurant offered ONE chicken option; chicken and waffles and we could not substitute potatoes or rice for the waffles! We attended the musical play "Catch Me if you Can" and it was excellent! I would highly recommend the play. The orchestra during the performance was also excellent.
We frequent this place. The area reminds you of simpler times. It gets busy on a weekends but other than that its great place to stroll, eat and just spend time with your loved ones.
Marietta Square has a lot of arts and craft festivals; otherwise it's an open town square like in every county seat in Georgia. The county building is on one side, and there are three sides with antique shops, souvenir shops and of course lots of eateries. Visit first just to see all that there is and then come back for one of the festival days; it'll be so crowded that you'll be glad that you got the lay of the land beforehand.
Nice new places to eat. The Butcher a The Baker us wonderful as us Sweet Cakes. A few Art shop to find a painting.
The Marietta Square is always fun to visit especially during nice weather. There are many restaurants nearby and lots of great local shops. Antiques, old records and cameras and sports memorabilia at raesonable prices.
My wife and I often visit this square for lunch or dinner after visiting one of the near by attractions. In addition to a stroll around the square or just using a park bench, we enjoy eating at the variety of restaurants and visiting the small stores. It is well located for visits to Kennesaw Mountain and Battlefields, Marietta Civil War Museum, the airplane museum, etc. During warm Saturday mornings, the farmers market or special events is time well spent. We plan to try the ghost tour and have heard good reviews.
This is a wonderful place to go to see a small southern square. My wife and I were married in the gazebo one May and even thou the park was packed, everyone was so very respectful! We have wonderful memories there and go back often .
Love just getting a cupcake at Miss Mamies and taking a seat on a park bench to take in some people watching.... oh and there is the window shopping of course!
The Marietta Square is a great little area for shopping, eating, going out, and or just a day in the park with your friends or family. So much to do and see packed into the square.
Great attractions atmosphere and excellent restaurants. A wonderful place for a Sunday stroll or a Saturday night dinner
I always enjoy visiting the "Square". There is a lot of history here in Cobb County and it always nice to go to one of the "Squares" and just sit relax and look around. No matter how hot or cold it is. It is always a great place to socialize or just sit on a bench alone and look around.
We love old town squares, but this one just didn't really do it for us. Several overpriced less than average restaurants with nothing more than a few stores selling things no one is going to buy. We will spend our time elsewhere on our next visit.
Lovely area in Centre of Marietta. Pleasant Fountains and Bandstand. Surrounded by all sorts of Restaurants and shops. Got to be lucky with parking.
