This beautiful store features an overwhelming number of Native American-crafted items for sale in a classy setting. I could have spent hours in here, gawking at the high-quality merchandise in lovely display cases throughout the huge room. Many featured turquoise but there were other possibilities, such as buffalo stone, too. I looked at bracelets, pendants, rings, Zuni fetishes, key rings, watchbands, money clips, necklaces and the list goes on and on and on. Stacks of Navajo rugs also beckoned along with kachina dolls and lovely pots. Some of the pots had "first place" ribbons, received at various shows, draped over them.Price tags were not visible so I asked the cost for a few items and was pleasantly surprised. For example, fetishes, which make lovely gifts, started at $30. They did, of course, go higher with some costing more than $100. The most costly were exquisite. I admired a buffalo stone silver bracelet so much that I plan to come back and buy it. The cost was $120, half the price of others I have seen that I didn't like as much.The sales staff proved to be friendly, helpful and available to answer questions. But they were all low key and definitely not high-pressure sales people. That approach ensures that I will likely return repeatedly. Tubac is off of I-19, about a 50-minute drive south of Tucson. Lone Mountain Turquoise is the first building on the right when passing through the entrance and turning south on Tubac Road. Free parking abounds throughout the town.
