I came here for a one-hour long therapeutic massage during a recent visit to Sedona. This place embodies the loopy charm that Sedona is known for amongst non-vortex-believing skeptics like me. The staff are welcoming and friendly and the waiting area is clean, comfortable, and relaxing, though small. The room where I had my treatment was adorned with a giant statue of Buddha, and my massage therapist and I chatted about various topics, even touching briefly on karma(!), during my massage. The massage itself was very good. Overall, a fun experience unlike any spa service you'd get in a more buttoned-up location that took itself more seriously.
Lisa Cook is so much fun! When I walked in I was welcomed like I had just came home, which was wonderful. I was given coffee and had a wonderful chat while waiting (less than 2 minutes). I told Lisa to do whatever she wanted, and she did a little investigating to see what she thought would be best for me. After much giggling and wonderful chit chat, I had the funnest hair color and style of my life. The quality of her work was impeccable, and it is obvious she is passionate about her work. The end result was lovely, and she was just as excited about it as I was. I recommend her to anyone and everyone in the Sedona area. I also got a quick eyebrow, chin, and sideburn wax that was quick, (almost) painless, and turned out great. I have nothing negative to say, other than the fact that I eventually had to leave and go back to the real world. I will be going back for the same, and more services at Namaste Spa!!
If your looking for organic hair services Lisa Cook is the gal for you! She's friendly, fun and listens to what you want. I'm from out of town and very skeptical of going to new hair salons especially when it comes to coloring my hair. I love how the color retouch, highlights / gray coverage turned out. Very shiny!! If your using same old chemical services go organic!!!
This is the only place I go to for a color, cut, and style. I have been going here for the last couple of years. Darla does wonders with my baby-fine hair to give it body, shine, and style. I always go with a rather light red style with some darker red streaks and blonde streaks. I was just there today and am so pleased. I asked Darla to try a curly big ringlet style and it came out marvelous and not a bit dry, very shiny.
Lisa Cook is a genius! She is the only person I let do my hair or my daughters. One of the hardest part of moving is finding someone that can do your hair [my hair can be difficult] Lisa is amazing there are times she knows what I want when even I don't
At first I thought this place was soothing, but soon came to see it as creepy. The haircuts I received were okay but the blow-dries were awful: lots of time and products spent only to make my hair appear drab and lifeless. But the facial wax was ghastly: the technician got wax in my hair, cut my lip with her fingernail (I have a scar!), and "spittle" flew in my face throughout the process. On the way home I scraped wax off my face in large quantities. Once home I discovered lots of places that had not been waxed at all. You would think that someone who got gobs of wax stuck in your hair and scarred your face might knock something off the [high] price, but oh no, I had to pay big bucks for a miserable experience. Don't let the hairdressers do your facial wax!! They don't know what they're doing!!
I used Lisa Cook's service to doll me up for my friend's wedding. I was the MOH so of course I wanted to look nice, so I hired Lisa professionally to do something simple but elegant at the same time. Since the wedding was an outside garden wedding, I didn't want anything too shiny, modern, or chic. I wanted a whimsical look to my updo and Lisa hit the nail on the spot. It came out gorgeous, the whole night of the wedding I had nonstop compliments and everyone asked me how long did it take for me to have my hair done and where. I think I even had more compliments coming out of the bride's guests than the bride herself. I felt a little guilty, but at the same time I never felt more beautiful! I will be using Lisa again for her service for my Sedona wedding in 10 days! I can't wait to see what she comes up with for my BIG day!
Lisa was VERY welcoming and did an excellent job! She stayed till 8:40pm after hours to do my mani/pedi. She made sure everything was perfect before I left. She loves her job and it shows! Thanks again for staying soooo late for me!,
Went to the Spa while on vacation with two wonderful friends. Lisa Cook is an expert hair stylist. She cut my hair to a style that fit my face, hair type, and lifestyle. She also shared tips and advice and took the time to show me how to style the new do. It was a wonderful experience!
YOU JUST GOTTA GO TO LISA @ NAMASTE FOR YOUR NEXT HAIRCUT!!!! You will not be disappointed! I recently got back from a wonderful girls getaway in Sedona with my two BFF's and on a whim we decided to get a little pampering - we booked back-to-back appointments for two cuts and a pedicure with the multi-talented Lisa Cook. Her effervescent personality, open and friendly nature, not to forget genuine charm, put me right at ease and I knew I was in good hands. Although I just received a trim with a little snip-snip here and there, they were done with precision and the results were truly transforming and husband loves the look - Lisa definititely has some mad skills!!! I need to mention that while we waited, we were invited to the relaxation room by the receptionist who was equally warm and friendly! You cannot go wrong with Lisa!
I loved the name of this place when someone suggested it to me when I was looking to get a haircut during my time in Sedona. I had decided to cut my medium/long length half dreaded hair into a short bob and was somewhat nervous going there without any knowledge of the stylists skills or talents. I was so grateful to have to Lisa take amazing care of me. I simply showed her a picture of what I wanted and she was able to give me the EXACT style. I was so impressed! I was nervous halfway through the haircut because of my attachment to my hair and the fact that other times I have given stylists pictures to emulate; they missed the boat entirely. I left this place on cloud nine. I looked adorable and was so pleased with her precision, skills and use of tools. My sister is a hair stylist in Ohio and she was so impressed when I sent her a photo of the before and after. I love Lisa and would highly recommend services with her. The atmosphere in there is spectacular; the art and colors really radiate an amazing vibe! I love this place and am so glad to have chosen it randomly; I feel truly blessed to have given Lisa and the Namaste salon and spa my business!
I chose this salon and masseuse from a Trip Advisor review. The salon is very nice, and Abby gave a great massage. I had never had a 90 minute massage, or with hot rocks. I thoroughly enjoyed both. I made my appt online, got email reminders, and an emailed receipt.Namaste
I live in Sedona and will only go to Darla Bren for coloring, cutting and styling my hair. I completely trust her. She listens to me and always goes the extra mile to make sure I am happy. And I've started treating myself to a pedicure with her every time I go in for my hair. She completely pampers you, making you feel special and cared for. I always walk out thrilled with my hair and my nails! Treat yourself by letting Darla do your hair and nails!!
I was given a gift of a pedicure from Namaste and had the best spa experience ever. I live in Sedona and will never go anywhere else to have my feet loved and taken care of. Lisa Cook is awesome and I would highly recommend her. She has a passion for her work and it shows!
I'm from Philadelphia and visited Sedona with my boyfriend. While he had business to take care of, he booked me an hour and a half body massage and a medical facial at Namaste. I'm writing this review because my experience was amazingggg!!Kris did my massage.. It was the best massage I have ever had! I know this sounds weird but, I feel like she put good vibes throughout my body and soul. I think she is also into spiritual healing as well. Perfection! Also, Melissa did my medical facial. I have dry, sun damaged skin. After this facial my skin was smooth and glowing. So much that purchased the cleanser, anti wrinkle eye cream, moisturizer and SPF 30 for whenever I leave my house. (JanMarini)Since returning to Philadelphia I have gotten so many compliments on my skin. Which is a first to me!I found Namaste Spa to be a very warm, welcoming even spiritual place to visit. Do not visit Sedona without visiting Namaste!!!! You won't regret it:)))Also, if you're brave enough they also do colonics
