Did this walk on a crystal clear day with plenty on time to enjoy it. Highly recommended by us as well as all the other walks on this end of the park!

I'm not sure if you can call this a trail as the walk to the point was paved. But the short walk was well worth it. The views were amazing. Prepare for the long drive from your lodging.

Definitely a must-do hike if you do the Cape Royal Drive. This is an easy hike and you are rewarded by wonderful views. The view of Angels Window is so cool.

We found this to be the Perfect trail. Easy in ability, views are breathtaking! Do not miss this one!

Is an easy paved walk past Angels Window, a look at the southern most point of the canyon that looks over a geological wonder. You can see layers of ages pass before your eyes. It takes several miles to get to this end point but definitely worth it.

On our last day there, our family ate a picnic lunch at an area overlooking the canyon. Oddly enough, we were the ONLY people there. I think it was a Monday. There is an area off the trail where weddings are held. of course, it was deserted the day we were there.

This was a very enjoyable trail that offered great views the entire way. We also enjoyed experiencing the bird life in the vicinity even though we did not find any birds we had not seen before. There are a number of informative signs about the plant life as well, and they added to our visit.

Beautiful stop for lunch when you visit the Canyon. The view is wonderful. Easy Parking and a nice picnic area. It is a easy drive from the park's main road.

Beautiful ~40 minute drive from the north rim lodge - although you will want to make a day of it since there are so many beautiful stops along the way. I thought it was even more spectacular than the view from the lodge.

This is not really a hike, but a short walk on paved sidewalk to the best view if Grand Canyon. It is amazing. My teenage daughters went to another outcrop of rocks just east of the main viewing area. They love the pictures if them being alone (and safe) that shows the entire expanse of the canyon. These are our best pictures from the GCNR portion if the trip.

This is an easy trail to negotiate. It's paved and easy to walk. The views are spectacular--takes about 30-45 minutes to walk, depending on how often you stop to enjoy the view. Be sure to see Angel Window!

The usual great road to spectacular outlooks. National Park Service does a fundamentally great job in our parks. Take advantage and leave early and share views with only a few.

Perfectly maintained hard surface trail that leads to some great views. Great for older people and those in wheelchairs. An easy stroll for everyone.

This is a lesser used trail - it was mostly level except for the very beginning - and was very scenic. The beginning part of the trail is mostly rain washed and looks like a logging road - but once you get past that ( a short distance) it's a beautiful trail. It meanders through the pines and has a few lookouts before you get to the final lookout point. You pass through some areas of past fires which makes for interesting scenery. Burned trees surrounded by grasses and flowers and tall pomderosa pines. Watch for the Kaibab squirrel - cant miss it with its white tail - and the only place it's found is in the north rim and adjoining areas ponderosa forresr. Seemed like most people were turning around and not going all the way to the end. It took us a few hours to complete. It is not a loop so you hike out the same trail you hiked in. The lookout is well worth the hike - beautiful and secluded. A view many don't see. Always remember to bring lots of water whenever you hike. Saw too many people with just one small bottle - which isn't nearly enough. With the dry air it's easy to become dehydrated quickly and not realize it until its too late and you feel ill.

It takes almost 1 hour to reach Cape Royal driving from North Rim Visitors Center, but I have no doubts – Cape Royal is a must while visiting North Rim. Remember to stop in overlooks while driving to Cape Royal.Trail is short an easy. Actually it is pavement. At the end you will see, in my opinion, it is the best view in whole Grand Canyon National Park. Be there at sunset and you will have gorgeous pictures.
