Nice little museum, no entry fee, plenty of memorbilia to buy (although a bit pricy, found some of the same in other places for cheaper). Not only for people familiar with Route 66, and fit for foreigners as well. Most importantly, Pete the owner is an awesome conversation parter, don't go in without picking a chat with him, if possible then about politics, extremely nice person.
Although Pete's was closed when I arrived in Williams, the view from the outside was well worth the stop and a few photos. The sight of Pete's brought back memories of my first trip to the west before I 40. The days of the desert bags immediately came back. I hope to go in some day and reminisce with Pete.
This place is so fun, the looks of it is very picture friendly and what an ol' fashion fun place to see.
What a great place to visit in williams there's so much nostalgic stuff here it was hard to take it all in so we had to do a second trip
Has tons of little nick knacks .. blast from the past, worth stopping in to check everything out. We especially loved all the old gas tanks.
There are places which are great and people which are great, but this gem has both. Pete is an amazing person worthy of chatting to if he will honor you.
a nice place for a pit stop, grab a quick bite or have a refreshing drink while taking in all the historic Route 66 memorabilia and souvenirs. There are geocaches all along route 66, including very near here...for all you geocachers like myself.
Dine inside or outside. Good service. Menu and food quality typical of fast food tourist hot spot. Live entertainment outside. Route 66 memorabilia decor. Can generally get in and out pretty quick. Food is ok - it is what it is.
Very nice place to see, free Admission and very nice People. Best place to get good route 66 memoriablia.Sehr schoenes Museum, Eintritt frei, sehr sher sehenswert. Immer wieder
My husband loved nosing around this store. He has good prices as well as all the Rt 66 signs in the smaller size which we had been looking for. There is a deal here - the more you buy the cheaper they are.
Unfortunately, it appears that the little gas station/museum was closed. We were in Williams for 4 days and never saw any activity around the place.
Pork sandwich tasty and savory, could have eaten two. Pricing fair for tourist eatery. Lots of Route 66 tourist memorabilia. Ask for table away from main entrance, less cold and walking traffic. Great place for kids too.
This is a real treat, as it's full of memorabilia and restored automotive items. There is also a great shop attached selling everything from route 66 gifts to car registration plates. We also had the honour of meeting Pete, who had lots of interesting stories to tell, including the history of the car on the forecourt ... really fascinating.Great to meet you Pete!
Enjoyed seeing the old memorabilia, very small collection, but the place is kept up nicely. Liked the old signs and gas pumps.
the owner of the gas staion is an original owner and emembers theglory days of route 66 .take your time to get to know him and he will chat for hours. great to hear the old stories.
