What kid doesn't like to jump around like a monkey on inflatable "jump-jump's" and slides? Pump It Up is loved by the under 12 crowd. For adults, not so much. For starters, there really aren't that many inflatables or slides/climbing devices in the place. First impression is that it appears a little run down. Second impression is that the layout is poor. There are two main rooms and your child is constantly running back and forth between the two which does not make a good flow and also makes it more challenging to watch your child. As far a 'watching your child" goes, I almost never see a staff person policing the area to make sure kids are safe and no rough-housing is going on. As an example, older kids are not supposed to go on the attractions yet my five year old daughter went on the screened in room that was sort of like a large trampoline only to be followed in a few minutes by 5 or 6 kids that were in high school doing summersaults and flying leaps. I had to yell to my daughter to get out of their fast before she was pummeled by rough-housing kids with 4 times her body weight. No Pump It Up staff person was in sight.Schools use Pump It Up, they also cater to kids parties so you may not be able to avoid the place. So, be prepared to closely watch your child, go back and forth from room-to-room and stand a lot since their is very little seating for adults. There are no tables for adults, no snacks and only a vending machine for drinks. An hour or two in the place and you'll be glad to be anywhere else.
I used to give pump it up 5 stars, as they were the best place in town- but now they have mega trampoline down the street- for a little bit bigger kids- and the equipment at Pump it Up is now old, worn, the slides dont work as well, ect..and the video games are always broken.
