Home of the Kane County Cougars this park is a gem. Lot's of seating choices including lawn, party decks & rental suites. The Cougars are always competitive, having won the Championship this year. There are spectator events between each inning. The tickets are cheap cheap and the food and beverages are outstanding(try the roast corn & pork chop sandwiches). Fireworks nights are a regular occurrence as are ton's of promotions. Thirsty Thursday's are especially popular with $1.00 beers & dogs.5th 3rd Park is a good time for families, friends, business associates and frankly everyone

This is the kind of place that you can decide to attend at the last minute. It's a nice night, ..... let's go. There seems to be something special going on all the time, fireworks, special music, etc. Stadium food fare is grilled on site. There are craft beers. Seats closer to the field (box, I think) have cup holders that is nice. Reasonable rates too.

I had a blast at this gorgeous ball park. This is the Chicago Cubs Class A affiliate minor league ball club. There is no bad seat in the entire park. The prices are affordable for a family and the food prices won't drive you broke. The staff is friendly from the parking lot staff to security. They do make you feel welcome. The between innings games and promotions are average among minor league teams. The parking is a bargain at $5.00. Preferred parking at $10 must be purchased in advance which may present an issue to people with wheelchairs if the game is gone to on the same day. You will have a good time. The ball park is 5 miles off of Farnsworth which is right off of I88 going west. 1 hour drive from the I 80 & 355.

I have been going to Cougars games with my son for about 4 years. And for the most part, it's good clean fun, attended by many families, prices are reasonable, and there's a good team (usually) on the field. Over the past 4 years, highlights have included Luis Valbuena playing for the team while on rehab - although he displayed an attitude of "I'm too good for this", free parking (at one time, now $5 which is fine), and exceptionally friendly people. The fireworks and running the bases are also a must do. One of the few reasons this is not a 5 star is because last night I waited in 20 minute lines and 2 concession stands looking for pizza. Before I stood in the 2nd line I asked if they still has pizza. The answer was yes. By the time I got up there, no pizza. So I missed 45 minutes of the game, and no pizza. One of the servers who was very nice informed me there were no managers. So maybe that's why supply was off. I just wish they had been more proactive. We will happily still go to Cougars games, but they need to be aware of their food situation and proactively send messages out to those in line that there's no more of something.

There's nothing like taking the family to a ball game. And most games have additional entertainment from a band before the game to fireworks and running the bases after the game.

I have been to two Cougar games over the last 4 years and both times were great. First time was before kids and for my birthday. My wife got my friends and I tickets, first row right behind third base for $12 a pop. It was great, food and drink were decently priced and we had a great time.My second trip I went with my wife and two sons (3 and 1). We got lawn seats for $5 and had a great time. You do have to pay for parking and to be honest we spent more on food and drink than the tickets, but compared to going to a Sox or Cubs game it is still a deal. My 3 year old loved it, he was clapping and involved with all the half inning activities. Everyone had a great time and we where there over the 4th of July weekend so they had fireworks which was great! We actually left the game at the top of the 9th because the Cougars were crushing the competition and watched the fireworks from our car in the parking lot so we could beat the rush, and we had a great view. All in all it was a very memorable experience and we had a great time, I think we might go back this week.

For years, my brother and a friend who seats in the press box at Wrigley Field when the Cubs are playing have encouraged me to attend a game at Fifth Third Bank Ballpark in Geneva, the home of the Class A Cubs affiliate, the Kane County Cougars. I don't know why it took me so long. Years ago, I enjoyed watching the Illinois high school finals at the Kane County facility. It was a wonderful experience then and it is wonderful experience today. It is good baseball at an affordable price. And if you're a Cubs fan, it is fun to see some players who one day will be playing in Wrigley Field. The Cougars, who in other years have been affiliated with the Orioles, Marlins, Athletics and Royals before joining the Cubs' fold in 2013, have sent more than 100 players to the major leagues. In 2013, the Cougars played to their 10 millionth fan, becoming the first Class A franchise in minor league history to reach that historic milestone. Kane County has been in business since 1991 and they go out of their way to entertain their fans. There isn't a bad seat in the park, whether you want to sit in a regular seat or bring your own lawn chairs and lounge in the lawn area in the outfield. If the kids have trouble sitting through nine innings, there are always extra activities to keep them occupied. Ozzie the mascot is always good for a few laughs. And the Cougars offer many coupons for merchandise at places like Great American Cookies in Schiller Park, Omega restaurant in Niles, Margaritas in Oak Park and Juicy-O Pancake House in Chicago. After night games, stay for the fireworks display. It might not be Wrigleyville but you'll find a parking place.

If you're looking for an awesome night of affordable entertainment, you need to go to a cougars game. There is not a bad seat in the ballpark and they are actually quite comfortable. Food is pretty good but pricey like most ballparks.

If you find yourself in the area over the weekend during the Summer months and are looking for an inexpensive fun time, consider a minor league baseball game! The Kane County Cougars baseball team, affiliate of the Chicago Cubs, play here!! The price of admission is very affordable, whether you want to sit in a regular seat or bring your chair's and lounge on the lawn area. There are always extra activities from a kid zone to in between innings fun for kids. And there's Ozzie the mascot! They sell the usual ballpark goodies to eat and drink! And there are also fireworks after the night games! Definitely a must do if you have the time!

A great ballpark to watch some Class-A baseball affiliated with the Chicago Cubs. I have gone with large groups from work and as well as with the family for a fun night out (and last night did both). Many nights end with fireworks so check the schedule and if you get a chance to sit in the upper deck box seats you are in for a special treat. Great, clean, modern facility with friendly and helpful staff.
