This is a fantastic local community theatre that performs 5-6 shows a season. They do some great musicals and dramas - all acted and sung by some amazing local talent. Community members can also get involved in directing, set design, lighting, makeup, playing in the band, etc. They also show The Rocky Horror Picture Show on Halloween, as well as several other special events. Don't miss it!

Peoria Players could use some updates and often gets overlooked by the locals. It's an average theater but the performances are great. Thanks

Peoria Players Theatre is a community theater with 2 paid staff and produces shows a season, starting with near Labor Day and ending near Memorial Day. The season usually has 4 musicals interspersed with 2 dramas or comedies. These are quality productions, typically drawing busloads of people from as far away as Iowa which is pretty far for community theater.Currently in production is Ragtime (regional premiere was at this theater in 2004) and will be followed by The Odd Couple, Sound of Music, Cabaret, Pirates of Penzance, and Damn Yankees(5 musicals this season). Winter & late spring fund-raisers are included as well as a youth summer musical. It is excellent entertainment for very reasonable prices - ($18 for adults, a bit less for youth).
