I have been to Lynfred Winery many times and it has always been a pleasant experience. The staff is always friendly and helpful and the wines are absolutely delicious. When tasting, if there is a wine you truly don't like, the staff is more than accommodating to ensure that you are completely satisfied.

We have been members of the wine club here for 5, or so, years now. We have been to MANY tastings here as well. While we are not wine snobs, we can appreciate a quality wine. I can't say that ANY experience, be it a tasting, picking up our wine, or our night in the French Room B&B, has been anything less than fantastic. Their servers are knowledgeable and happy to pour a generous glass. We will keep returning with smiles on our faces.

Dearest Sharon, We are saddened to hear that you had a negative experience at the winery. I can assure you that we take all reviews very seriously, especially with customer service. I have spoken with Kathy and she is sincerely sorry and admits she was a little overwhelmed and tired, though we are not trying to make any excuses. I do hope you will continue to visit and truly see our warm hospitality that we are known for. Please consider me to be your personal winery concierge and contact me with any questions, concerns or comments. Sincerely, Christina Anderson-Heller, Marketing Director 630.529.9463 wineinfo at lynfredwinery dot com

Despite loving good wine and living nearby, I managed to defer visiting until a Texas friend prompted finding an attraction that didn't involve a trip into Chicago. Scheduling a private tour was easy and we left as impressed as previous TripAdvisor reviewers. Tastings were unhurried and without sales pressure. Our tour guide was highly knowledgeable about wine as well as Lynfred's history. Several guests were lodging in the winery's upstairs B&B, a feature I'd forgotten about, but which has reviewed in another category. A few tips: Do the tour on your first visit. Parking in Lynfred's lot may be limited but there's a strip mall across the alley behind the winery (east) with free parking options. Walk-in shoppers are more likely Friday-Sunday and this may impact the shop where some aisles may be narrow. Tasting areas will be more crowded on busy days. Nothing here for children, you'll be happier without them (babies excepted). Adaptations making this facility Accessible may not meet every special need. A phone call to staff should provide great advice about best day and time to visit, an idea of how busy they are at a specific moment, or if they can accommodate a special need.We didn't plan to buy wine but were so pleased with what we'd sampled that, in addition to several bottles we took for home in the west suburbs, our friend shipped a mixed case back to Texas.

A trip to Lynfred always includes great wine, good ideas for food pairing and a bit of history including culture and environment. People are informative and very helpful, but never pushy. Your trips there can be short and sweet or hours long. A very nice treat in your day!

They are very kind to contribute to charitable causes. Wine samples available to taste. Cheerful staff.

Nice spit to still for am afternoon tasting, I saw people talking wedding photos on the grounds. People coming in and out. A nice selection to choose from nice customer service.

Wine tasting was okay. Tasting was a little more expensive than most wineries we visit. The layout for wine tasting (having to go to a small area for 6 samples--and try to negotiate your way around others, and then go to the "desk" for the last sample) was awkward and made the experience less enjoyable. Staff were very nice to our children, ages 8 and 9.We would have liked a wine-tasting experience that felt a bit more relaxing.

We went on a Wed. and they were steady but not busy. The people were very nice and the wine was very good. We were actually here tasting and checking out the shop for quite awhile. The gift shop is fun and we are planning to return because it appears they have very nice accommodations and when you stay there, I've been told; the wine flows! I must find out!

The award winning Lynfred Winery in Roselle produces over 80 types of wine a year using only grapes and fruit that are crushed on the premises. The tour, with a knowledgeable guide, samples four different types of wine and a dessert wine. They also have a wine tasting without the tour and small batch wine offered only to their monthly club members.Great venue for a wedding, shower, birthday party plus a bed and breakfast on the site. Gift shop offers a wide variety of items including chocolate dipped wine bottles!

A nice setting for a glass of wine and cheese tray in the middle of town. A bit overpriced - a bit trendy - gets crowded - but there is little around to compare it too. Does have nice outdoor seating, and good choices.

We enjoyed our trip to Lynfred Winery. Everyone who helped us was polite, and the wine is FABULOUS. Cute gift shop with great merchandise, but it gets cramped, which would be my only complaint since we had to go to the back of the gift shop to get to where they were pouring the wine and then try to taste while staying out of people's way. A little odd in the set-up, but all in all a cute winery with really, really good wines. We will be back.

I have been visiting the winery for over 20 years and love it. The tasting is great for just a few dollars. They have a cute gift shop with jellies and FABULOUS breads, and misc. wine accessories. Most of the wines are great, and the atmosphere is beautiful. They also have a B& B that looks great. Wine making tours are given regularly.

I have been going to Lynfred Winery for many yeaers and have been a member of their wonderful wine club for the same. Even though the business is run by family, eveyone employed there are part of that family. From the time you walk in to you leave, the staff is so nice and knowledgable and really go out of their way to make the experience unforgettable. Even if it is only to pick up the wine of the month. My fiancee and I love going there and buying a bottle of wine and share it in the private back room. Or have a flight at the beginning og the month to see which white is our favorite. We recently brought eight of our good friends for a tour and a tasting. Now that was a lot of fun....A gem in the small city of Roselle for sure.

I was disappointed with the Epicurean experience but pleasantly pleased by the wine. The staff was a nice, but a little snotty at the tasting bar. At the experience, the chef seemed disinterested in telling us about the food. He read what was on the menu then booked it out of the room. The hostess said very little about the wine, but she was nice. I did not feel it was worth the money my friends and I paid, but appreciated the beautiful location and great wine! Will be back but will not pay extra for any if their "experiences." You pay to sit in a room to talk vs. talking in their tasting area!
