AMI is just simply a seven mile historic, quiet and beautiful area. Bring your camera and explore and enjoy. Ride the free trolley ..its a must leave your car parked

I thoroughly enjoyed wandering up and down the historic streets of this quaint village. It truly is a beach bum's paradise, teeming with beach apparel boutiques and sea-inspired jewelry and gift shops. You truly could laze the day away as you lose yourself in the awe-inspiring local artwork!

I visited the Historic Green Village last year with my husband and children, who are aged 12, 10 and 7.We were amazed to discover such an amazing project while we were on holiday and the kids were enthralled by the history of the buildings and all the technology, particularly my eldest who is doing an environmental project at school. The shops were great. My husband and two boys were able to buy some fishing equipment at AMI Outfitters who were really helpful kitting them out to go fishing off City Pier, and we loved the Relish Café and would have breakfast here almost every day. Very impressed, very inspired. Congratulations for such an amazing project. Certainly gave us food for thought…

This little village of shops is in a quaint little town on a beautiful island with a beach equal to any in the caribbean! If you haven't been to Anna Maria Island, Florida you need to go. And don't miss an incredible example of using the sun and other energy efficient systems to provide power that runs all systems from hot water to air conditioning to lighting. This little net zero village has attained Leeds Platinum status and serves as a real life science project with good things to eat, great art, cool jewelry and an amazing outfitter so you can catch those big fish! The owners have saved historic buildings on the site, moved others to the site and built one - all have been retrofitted with the latest energy saving systems available and signs throughout the property give you information about each building providing a wonderful little walking tour.

Una settimana di soggiorno ad Anna Maria ci ha permesso di apprezzare lo stile Old Florida che si respira in tutta l'isola. Molto carine tutte le villette che ti fanno sentire ai Caraibi, con colori vivaci, dagli azzurri ai gialli e rosi . Belle le strade bordate di palme e vegetazione lussureggiante. Molto caratteristici i canali su cui si affacciano i giardini dei cottage che poi sfociano in mare. Tantissimi gli uccelli ( aironi bianchi, cinerini ,rosa e tante altre specie ) che trovi ovunque , dalla spiaggia ai giardini .
