Well appointed. Well managed. Well staffed. A little overpriced for the market but they dont really have any competition in this space. A family member once had a run in with a obnoxious low level manager and I do not believe this was typical.
My favorite treatment is the Earth and Sea Scrub, it is so pampering and indulgent for around $120 before tipping. In particular I enjoyed my service with Cassandra, she is wonderful. The spa itself is beautiful with an ocean view relaxing area. Staff is nice and accommodating, there are snacks and drinks as well as a jacuzzi and steam (the jacuzzi is for ladies only however). Well worth the price, especially if you like a smaller more intimate setting than the other "globo-spas" in the area, that being said it gets a bit cramped on the weekends but during the week and even fridays are great!
I had so much fun here. I hated that I wasn't able to get into the spa area, but that was my fault for not making a reservation. We were only there four nights (my bachelorette party) and I was afraid to make a reservation and possibly not feel well enough to make the appointment. The location is perfect with the beach right outside my window and plenty of places to eat and explore within walking distance. They also accommodated a last minute shower setup my sister put together. Overall, we were very happy with the location.
The first time we stayed at One Ocean, the spa was closed due to renovations (though we heard a pipe had busted prior!). Was so disappointed! But I finally got to try it on our next visit, and it was definitely worth waiting for. It's not the best spa I've ever been to, it is small and the facilities are listed (it's not Grove Park Inn!) but the staff is outstanding and the beach views can't be beat. You pass the spa each time you take the elevator to any of the guest rooms so it's location is ideal. The smell of eucalyptus oil permeates the entire hall and is just intoxicating! There is a nice locker room with a hot spa and steam showers but it's just outside the windowed area where mani's and pedi's are done so it's not private or very relaxing. The changing area does have anything you need or may have forgotten in way of hair products, dryers, etc. But it's for women only and it didn't seem as though there was a similar area for men, the sole male who had come for a massage was stuck in a tiny room away from the women with no windows/beach view. They do have a lovely snack bar of sorts, with tea, coffee, and a fruit/veggie infused water (some times cucumber, sometimes strawberry) lemon cookies, and an assortment of nuts & berries. A glass of wine is also offered to relax you prior to any treatment.I scheduled a massage one visit and I absolutely HATE that I can't remember her name as she was incredibly strong for how tiny she was! Long dark wavy hair, small athletic stature...please forgive me for my lack of memory. But a calm soothing voice, I had the sports massage, I believe, not quite deep tissue, but she worked wonders on my back & shoulders. So very nice experience in all. Definitely come early so you have more time to relax and enjoy your wine! And don't rush off, bring a swimsuit and soak in the hot tub a bit and then melt into the steam shower...you've earned it!Did have a pedicure on another trip and was a bit disappointed, granted it was the 30 minute express pedi as my time was limited, but it involved no massage of my legs/feet at all. Even my 30 minute pedi at home invoked much more than the one at the spa! But if you've had a long hectic week in business meetings and need a solid nights sleep, take off a bit early one day and schedule a massage, you'll sleep like a baby!
Went with my mom to the spa very spur of the moment. As usual it was great and they were accommodating . We each for a facial and a massage. Christine was our masseuse and just- wow! Best night of sleep in my life. Only resort/spa of this type in the area. Everything else is dated.
