hardee lakes park

Set out in the backcountry, this lightly used park has miles of roads, camping, geocaching and fishing on multiple lakes.

$5 admission for day use, 4 lakes to fish, camping with water / electric and dump station at $20/nt, $100/wk - nice place. The restrooms near the campground are new and very nice. Trails were not well marked on the map; in fact, the map was pretty lousy, but we eventually did come to a boardwalk which connected to trails around the lakes. Beautiful!

This beautiful 1200 acre park is a great get-away. It offers 4 lakes (ranging from 47 acres to 120 acres in size) for fishing from boat or shore. Also camping, horse trails, hiking trails, bike trails, picnic areas, pavillion, restrooms,playground and a boardwalk with observation tower.There is a small fee for entrance and also camping fees. Hours of opearation are 7:00am to 5:30pm Friday - Monday. (This is the only negative I've found, wish it was open all week).
